I've been following the tank discussions, and was about to order one from LF for my Riva 510. 'Till I started reading about problems people were having with them.

'Bout the same time I noticed the XL Carts & XL Attys from LF and I noticed the differences in capacity; 1ml for the tank and 2ml for the XL Carts. I realize capacity isn't the only difference, but I thought it'd be worth considering.

Anyone have experience with both, or with the XL carts that could offer comment?

Thanks. :)

ps: can anyone confirm the compatibility with Riva 510 and ego accessories? attys, batteries, etc...

I used the Joye mega cylinder atomizer for a long time and liked it for the extra 2ml-2.5ml capacity and great taste and vapor. I ordered the Ego-T Tank a few weeks ago and haven't looked back since. I use a syringe to draw liquid right from the bottle by sticking the needle through the tip of the bottle and then squirting it into the tank. It's a quick fill and the syringe cleans easily just by drawing up some water and squirting it into the sink.

I fill about 3 times a day. The taste is great from fill to empty. Mid range mixes seem to do better in the tank. 100% PG will sometimes flood and gurgle when the cart is almost empty. 100% VG works fine for me, but some say that it is too thick to draw well. Suction is what helps feed the juice to the wick. Light to medium draws work best. The best mixes for the tank are 50/50 to 80/20 pg/vg.

Overall, the tank is the best method I've found to date. Taste is slightly below the mega cylinder, but some juices that had almost no taste in the mega, taste great in the tank. Go figure. All in all, I like the reduced throat hit from the tank. The mega cylinder can be harsh at times, especially in stronger flavored juices. Flooding, while also an occasional problem in the tank, is limited to a little gurgling and not as bad as the mega cylinder, which can flood to the point of cooling the atty coil and preventing vapor formation.

Overall, my pick between the two is the tank, hands down.
