Both have their merits, but I use the carto style more now.
Cutting CE2's isn't hard, and I bought a cutter and have done it more times than I'd like to remember, but not needing a syringe to fill it on the go is a plus for the carto style, and it's really easy to clean, and swap out. Meh, it's just user preference. They both work well, and I still use both. The carto style is just less of a hassle.
Ce2 FTW hands down! Move the white bottem plug up a bit for better wicking and your in chain vaping heaven for the original ones without modding or you can get a BD syringe from 3-50 ML and have a huge tank.

I prefer both,cut slits in the sides of a CE2 and use it in a carto tank.
The ease of a carto tank, and the flavor of a CE2.
Can you show some pics? Very interesting... please....
I use them both . Around the house , I like the CE's , but , on the road , I prefer the regular carto's , they just seem a little easier to fill , on the go .

That is what I wanted to see and where you cut the slits
I cut the slits in a clearo just above and below the end caps and use the entire CE2 carto,
slips right in, no worries about cracking - leaking - refilling.
You can use a steel CE2 also, but the clear was what I had on hand.

Anyone use G4's. Just got some in today and ran a ml through one but can't post much of an opinion on it yet. I've been using ce2's and liked them. The G4 seems to vape ok, has a clean flavor and sure is easy to fill. Small disposable tank for the masses? Will post a review once I get some time with these under my belt.

What I dont get it is that the coil on the ce2 is on top and if you cut the slots on top then you have to tilt the tank to feed the coil..

Don't feel bad. I'm not sure I get it either. It kind of sounds like he's made his own liqunator tank but the coil is at the bottom in those.
carto tanks..I've been a carto guy since I first started..tried using ce2s...never had much luck with these..liquinator is my tank or choice..love it...come to think about it..I don't remember the last time I popped my drip tip off to fill my carto..
Carto tank all the way!!!! Yes!!!! The ce2's had to much of an airy draw for me. Yes!!! Cartos FTW!!! I even made a couple tanks on my own and love them. So easy with the 20cc syringe. It's like a brand new full carto every vape.

Don't have a picture handy, but I have a slit cut near the top (below the cup) and one on the bottom (above the bottom gasket) this allows juice into the carto, to wet the wicks, all that's necessary.
My Liquinator tanks are being delivered today and I can't wait to get them set up! I got to try one at our last local vape meet and I was really impressed! I just wish the mailman would HURRY UP ALREADY!
