Martha, you should test the voltage at the atty connector of your Super 6 and your GGTS with the same batteries. This might then put this to rest. Until then, I'm not going to believe what a supplier posts on his own forum to prop up his sales and have the evidence weigh in his favour. Some sort of unbiased testing would be needed. Until I see this, I'll believe science in that aluminum is a better conductor of electrical energy than stainless steel. There will be more loss of current with stainless steel in the circuit compared to aluminum.....period.

I didnt want to continue reading the post that Martha posted because the second paragraph was so ignorant that I felt very silly to continue. As for the contactivity boom, about 6,5 billion people in this earth knows that aluminium contacts way better the electrical current that the stainless steel, that why we dont make anything from steel when we want to delivery current with minimal loses.
E-cigs are small units so the drop of voltage is not noticeable with the home voltometers, they are for amateurs. We need sensitive instruments to see the difference. But the diference is here and noone can argue with that.
If we want to compare an aluminium cig with a steel one then we can say some things more:

pros

1) Aluminium is 3 times lighter
2) Aluminium contacts electricity better
3) Aluminium contacts heat much better so heat of the battery comes out of GG easier, so battery's life is extended

Cons

1) needs cleaning more often

What we need on e-cigs are the pros 1),2),3) and we can do easy the cons 1). We dont need the cons 1) because we cant do the pros 1),2),3) that are nesessary and important.

I can easily make a GG from stainless steel. I like stainless steel but on a mouthpiece because its important. But making an e-cig from steel is crazy for me
If someones disagrees I will listen:)

I went by the automotive store today and bought some of the Mother's brand cleaner that Deetz suggested. I am going to clean my GGTS tonight and will post the results.

Imeo, I like the aluminum and do not really mind polishing it. The tarnish helps remind me to clean my GG and not just vape constantly. Besides, using aluminum makes the device lighter which is a bonus when I put in the 18650 batteries.

You are right, only problem I have: make the stuff available: like the metal mouthpieces!!! Are they going to be ready together with the new AFS, as you have said: it does not look good without them, so please have them ready!

I've grown to enjoy polishing it too. Looking forward to hearing how it worked out for you!

I tried Autosol and it is very good. I polished it faster than with Cape Cods and a little faster than with brasso. No I need to see if it lasts (with brasso it doesn't last a day, with Cape Cods it lasts a week).

I am more than sure that it will last much longer. I shine it with autosol before 1 week or more and its like I shined it today:D

I guess you are right (I am so ignorant) but I only asked about the difference between the material the ecig were made out of. I never asked about the electrical conduction. Someone else brought this up.

We all post on this forum and some of us may be right or wrong but it is not necessary to call someone ignorant

I can certainly accept someone's view without calling them ignorant.

Martha, I never said that you are ignorant and I already said that I am not yell on you. I was talking about the ignorance of the man that wrote the post you posted. He gives completery wrong information to people.

Of course you can be wrong because you dont know about this stuff. My wife and almost all my friends dont know anything about electricity.
Maybe my bad English made you think that I was talking to you but I was not at all!! I am more than ok with you Martha:)

ps (its not for you Martha).... as for the drop of voltage, its small I agree. But we try to reach the perfection by using high drain batteries that have some miliohm less resistanse and we will ignore the 20 times better contactivity that aluminium has?

Sorry I guess I read it wrong. I am beginning to understand the difference between aluminum and stainless steel. I have both type mods and they both function very good.

I got my GG #243 a week ago and I literally love it. I wanted one earlier but hesitated because of the price but when the price dropped I got one.

IMO it produces better than any other mod that I have. The only problems I have had was the button kept sticking (ordered the magnets) and finally used sandpaper on the threads and now not sticking and the tarnish. I ordered some Cape Cod polishing cloths and this works pretty good although something else would probably work better. I am still looking.

I am happy that we solved this Martha. I am not that type of man and I dont yell even to people that attacked me the most of times without a reason. You will notice this soon I hope:)

I use "autosol" and it works more than good. But other people have different opinions. They like the cap cods and some others like the "never dull" or the "mother's... something (I dont remember). Dee said that he use a different material but I dont remember its name. Maybe he will see this post and he will reply

Hi Imeo, you had it right. I use "Mother's Billet Metal Polish" found in auto stores. It polishes the GGTS like a mirror and without much work. I haven't tried the autosol yet to compare but I will pick it up next time, although the mothers is going to last me awhile.

Quick response buddy!! Thanks a lot for the info. Martha has now all the info she needs

I have to admit that the Mother's is easier than NevrDull. With NevrDull I had to really work to remove the black off of my GGTS but with Mother's it came off without an effort. It easily removed the black junk that accumulates in the atomizer well. I am impressed!

The Mothers Billet polish looks like it may work really well and will have to pick a bottle up later to see how it is. I have the first made GGTS which is not polished. It gets very discolered due to holding it all day and oil/sweat will tarnish it. I have to use alot of pressure with both cape cod and never dull, even know they both work flawless it is alot of work. If what you say about Mothers Billet is true, it will save me alot of elbow! I wish i could just wipe it away but hard to get out tough tarnish stains. My newer GGTS i have never used yet. It sits looking pretty next to my slims and SS. Also i did want to mention something, I see some had issues with button sticking.... Im wondering why that would be becouse ive had my GGTS #5 since it came out and never had a issue with the button at all. I think that is becouse some users put lube/grease or whatever inside that causes it to stick after time. My best advice is to leave the button be. I have magnets that are sitting here i never put in becouse my switch/button never crapped out. :2c:
