What exactly are candle tarts and how are they used?

a tart is a wickless candle. you 'burn' it by placing a heat source underneath it, usually in a tart warmer. sort of like the oil burners, except the heat is usually from a heat plate or light bulb, so there is no flame. you can use a tea candle underneath it for the heat source, but then you may as well just use a regular candle.

Wife is a tart and oil burner collectin' fanatic. Has all kinds of the blasted things around here. House smells like a mixture of a hospital bathroom, bakery, and oriental massage parlor.

I may just have to grab a bundle of these and get this place smellin' up right.

mine is known in the area as the crazy candle lady. i had to buy a 3rd fridge to keep her stash in.

On rereading this, I realize it seems like I said my wife is a "tart". Maybe because it's Sunday morning, but felt I needed to clarify that this is far from what I intended with that statement. lol

Brought the idea of these up to her yesterday. She loves when I vape Casablanca or Applewood in the car on long drives, so she's interested in 'em. I love when a plan comes together.

So Basically I could have say, a Vanilla candle and put like a metal grate over the candle and put a vanilla tart over the grate? I don't understand, is there like a device required to use these?

They're supposed to be used with a tart burner like one of these: Tart Burners We use electric ones in our house because I get headaches from burning candles
