Hi noob back again.

As I mentioned in my intro I`ve only been vaping for 4 weeks and totally free from the roll-ups for 3 weeks but I`m an avid researcher, fiddler... call it what you will :)

Of course being a previously heavy smoker I blasted through the pre-filled cartomisers in no time and immediately went onto re-filling with e-liquid. The forums helped a great deal with the techniques of filling, from "condom" to syringe and dropping and I thought about how to pack the liquid down into the filler without waiting for gravity to do it`s job and came across the Taryn Spin method.
It works great for me but is a bit of a hassle putting carts in plastic bags and tying string around so came up with an idea to simplify it.
I started out by useing a Marker pen, removing the filling and cutting the shape out with a junior hacksaw. Drill the hole and pop in a keyring.
Job done! Very effective but a bit light for me :?: . Being an engineering and inventive type i wanted something a bit more "manly" :glare: and heavy duty so came up with what you hopefully see below in the pic .

I simply slip the cart down into it and spin the heck out if it!! It the old spinning a bucket of water theory! When I think it`s done I stop spinning and the cart does stay in, slip it out and hey presto! I`ve used 500kg Para-cord!!! just to be sure the line dosn`t break and check that there are no animals or small children around before I use it! It is heavy being Copper!!!

Anyway just thought I`d share this, pretty sure I`m not the first to think of this but it is pretty

Nice work, Vault! I tried the taryn spin method a number of times when I first started using cartos. It works pretty well, and, in general, I prefer it to the condom method - especially for thicker juices. These days, I use a syringe - the main reason being that the zip lock bag/staple/string contraptions I made were always breaking. Your little device (perhaps we should call it the "TSC", or even: "The Vault"), looks like it would make the taryn spin method a viable option.

I always thought that it had potential, particularly as a method for newbies: add 15-20 drops of e-liquid to the the top of your carto, put your carto in this little device, spin it like you mean it, and repeat. No waiting around, no juice in the air hole, no needles: just a consistent fill every time.

If you ever decide to sell these on the classifieds - put me down for a Vault V1! The V2 should look something like this.

Nice idea.

Personally, I just put part of a wood toothpick into the center air hole of the carto to keep juice out as I add my juice to the top. When the filler looks saturated, I just shake the carto a few times like a thermometer. I'll add more juice, and shake it again. I repeat the process until the carto will hold no more juice. It's then ready to vape or put in a cartotank.

My method only works for single cartos. Your method theoretically could do multiple cartos at a time depending upon the device you end up spinning.

I actually made a couple more today in a quiet period at work (perks of being your own boss ;) ) in case anyone wanted to try one out, and used one to empty some nearly full SR carts using the "Reverse Taryn Spin" ( I love all these tech names :) ) and used the E-liquid regained (save wasting it) to fill some Boge LR carts I just got in the post. I guess I employed the "Reverse-Reverse Taryn Spin" to fill them Lol!
jSquared I`m a bit far off production but who knows? Maybe if I can get authorised I may be able to put them in the classifieds in the future :) :)

After the weekend I`m going to order a Kanger EVOD clearo to try out :) I`ve only been using carts so far and want to try the whole spectrum of vaping.
I`m happy at the moment with the ego-c batteries I have so want something not too big or "juicy" to try out and I`m open to suggestions.

Thanks Baditude, an interesting read.

I believe the EVOD is a bottom coil clearomiser so would not need to be vaped horizontally or have the wick regularly immersed in the juice?
I didn`t know about the volitility of certain juices effecting the clear tanks! I`m only vaping tobacco flavours and menthol at the moment but will remember that info when I experiment with a broader range of juices!
I guess, long term if I`m thinking about anything along the tank lines I`ll be looking out for Pyrex/glass then :)

I carry two gizmos for the taryn spin around with me constantly...I've got a whole drawer full of em! They're multipurpose in that they also keep my feet warm and stop my feet rubbing on the inside of my shoes... the only downside is they shouldn't be used towards the end of the day ;-) I wanna make one of those pretty gizmos though!x

Interesting…

I’d like to hear more about these Inventions that both keep your Feet Warm and keep your shoes from Rubbing.

Thanks for the comments guys, so I guess I`m after a general concensus as to this idea.
There is no doubt that it works for me, I have it by my computer and it`s much handier and quicker than faffing about for a bag and string.
The only flaw so far is maybe they are a bit too heavy  made in copper but I always over-engineer everything :)
It`s no problem as the original one I made out of a marker pen is the perfect weight for sitting down spinning without the risk of taking your knee-cap off!! I can source some PVC tube and make them exactly the same as my proto-type pen model.

Does the general populace think its a good idea?
Are there enough people spinning their carts to create an interest?
Does anyone want to be a guinea pig and road test one? (Only got 5 It`ll have to be UK posters only at the moment because of postage costs, as a fledgeling idea I can`t afford Airmail or global carriage )
Am I allowed to post this? (Sorry Mods if I`m in breach but I`m not selling, apologies if I`m in breach of rules).

Honest opinions are welcome as it`ll save me time and effort if the idea is a bust  Might make nice wind chimes though looking at the 5 together :D
