although I have kept vaping and mixing these last couple years, I am terribly out of touch with all the gear!

Please hang in here with me, this is juice related, promise!

Okay so, I have an order of new flavors coming, and new recipes to try. But I need a dripper or something to test them in. I had a little cheap thing it was a couple bucks, but it got lost somewhere lol!

Not the biggest and best, just something easy to use, don’t want to build coils, easy to clean to try the next flavor. Doesn’t have to be pretty, but prefer not to be too expensive.

Any ideas? What are you folks using? I’m not having luck looking because I have no idea what they’re called anymore

Thanks for the fast reply!!

Fast tech gives me panic attacks lol. Too much info, way beyond me. I can’t seem to find if there are pre made coils for that, or what ohms.

I saw this on eBay. Maybe not the best, but is this the kind of thing I need? At least there’s an option to add coils. That’s the thing I’m focused on.

The ohms is whatever you normally vape at..

Kidney puncher amd Advance Vape Supply sells pre made coils, but you do have to learn how to build as in making sure you don't have hot legs and that the coil is glowing evenly from the inside out..

But you can do something nice and basic like a 24 gauge, 3mm ID, 8 wraps for around .7 ohms or get fancy and do a 26GA nichrome core with 36GA nichrome standard clapton 6 wrap 3.5mm ID which will ohm out between .60-.70... but the later is likely not something you want, so I'd go with the basic 24 gauge 8 wrap.. it will give you flavor if you place it well..

Well, ideally you don't want a device that uses pre-made coils.
As mentioned, something like the Hadaly.
You make a coil that lasts a long time.
Then you can easily replace the wick for flavor changes.

Just like DIY juice, DIY coils is way, way, way cheaper and offers more customization.

Drop in coils (in whatever type of equipment) isn't going to give you the best way to taste juices as the coils are much harder to clean. If you are talking about "precoiled" coils that you can use just like coils you wind yourself, well any dripper (RBA) should be fine with precoiled coils, there aren't special drippers that you HAVE to wind yourself. Although, you do want/need an RBA that is similar to your tanks, and to select a precoiled coil that is similar in resistance and not all fancy and exotic as the tastes will be widely different. So, I guess I'd suggest simple round wires (unless you are using a sub0hm setup with a 0.15 resistance and an octocoil or something, then you might want a more robust build in your RDA (dripper). But, a dripper that takes premade coils isn't technically a "dripper" in my opinion, so I'm a bit confused.

You want to be able to replace your wick (cotton, rayon whatever) between flavors so you taste them.

Really, you should let us know what drop in coil tanks you use, and then probably a suggestion for a dripper (and a precoiled coil type) can be more easily identified and suggested. Etc.

I hope I'm understanding you correctly, but your dripper should be based on vaping style . I vape MTL and I ordered a Vandy Vape Berserker RBA for my dripper, mainly because I know it will be substantially equivalent to how I vape my tanks, so should be a good option (for me) to "taste" my juices.

I know, from the old days with the disposable dripper, that it’s nit going to perform the same way.

My current set up are mostly istick 20s with K1s at 1.8 ohms

And I have an Atlantis and a Herakles I use at 5 ohms.

So much of what I’m seeing is way lower. And I mean, I’m so not knowledgeable about any of this. I don’t know if rda coils are like coils for tanks, and one size does not ever fit all?

RDAs are not the same as drop in coils, you need to install and wick them yourself. RDAs are kind of a bit more forgiving with "what type" of coil you put in them. However, if the diameter of the coil (that you will be wicking yourself) may matter to an extent. Some small drippers don't do well with a large diameter, or very complex build, merely due to the SIZE of the dripper and etc. However, kind of generally you can probably use many prebuilt coils with most drippers, but I'd say the type of coil and resistance of the coil MAY matter in terms of vape production and taste.

I would suggest perusing this forum for a bit, it may help you as far as figuring out the process: Rebuildable Atomizer Systems

Good luck,

Anna

@DeloresRose - There are lots of inexpensive little RDAs in the Clearance sections of US websites lately...that would be fine for the purpose of taste testing your DIY eliquids. If you buy some pre-wound or pre-coiled coils for one of them, they're not hard to install and wick/rewick.
