Hello Fellow Vapers!

Went to the local shop with my DCT because the tobacco juices where eating them up... After about 4 days they would develop a tight draw. So the shop set me up with a clearomizer with changeable heads. All was good, its been maybe a week now, I have since ordered two more of the same clearomizers which happen to be the Kanger T2s and some new heads at 2.2 and 2.8 omh heads.

Well the T2 the shop set me up with developed a intermittent burnt taste, so I changed out the head and it still had the intermittent burnt taste.

I decided to try the new tank I got online which is the same as the one from the shop and there is more flavor and no burnt taste as of yet.

Should I try cleaning out the clearomizer the shop set me up with? Becasue changing the head does not seem to remedy the burnt taste.

Or did I just get a dud?

Any info or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Especially when it comes to finding a tank/clearomizer that does not clog easily with thick tobacco juices.

Thick juices do not wick well, especially with clearomizer/tanks that use a CE2 type coil core. And tobacco juices are unfortunately notorious for clogging regular cartos. I have been using a DCT with a tobacco juice for about a week now, and its getting close to the end of this round before cleaning the carto. It held up pretty well, however, all things considered.

Thick and carto of any kind is not a good match. You might try thinning the juice with a little distilled water, PGA or vodka. How much I could not say, other than if the juice has no thinning agent at all, and it is a VG juice, 20% water or around 8% PGA (give or take) is normally what is required for good wicking. You will have to experiment with yours if you do not know the composition. I use only VG juices that I make myself, so the composition is known. This allows juices to wick far better, although some clearo-types still do not work well with any of my juices thus far. Thinning will also open up the nic (TH and nasal tickle) and the flavors.

This will be rather time consuming with a DCT, since you have to fill a tank. So I would see what works with just a DC carto you intend to use, and then when you have a good mix, try the tank. This should also help with boggy cartos, although that is something that can be helped a bit by a thick pin or needle up the center of the carto (careful not to kill the coil!).

I only have experience with CE2 type or original carto-coil type cartomizers. I don't know how a bottom-coil will work with these suggestions, so if another vet wants to jump in with suggestions of other cartos, please do. My experience with tobaccos and cartos is that I go through them a lot faster than with most other types of juices.
