Tat's and vaping really have nothing to do with one another. Just about everyone has tat's these days. I was just at a lake on Saturday and the girl I went there with commented on how many people had at least one visible tattoo. I have two of them myself and she also has two. Both of us are vapers, so maybe it's true. Lol. Actually it's not true, because both of us have had ours long before we were vaping. but there are just a hell of a lot of people that have them.

My takeaway from this thread is how mainstream and accepted ink is these days, and hope it will be the same for vaping in the near future.

Mainstream and accepted yes, but there will always be people, as evidenced by this thread, that think you're going down a bad road because you have tattoos. I'm sure the same will hold true for vaping as well.

I agree that tattoos are more socially acceptable these days. Even still, I know people have given me some glances and probably thought "oooo, he must (be a drug user, have been in prison, have had a rough childhood, etc.)" And I don't fit ANY of those lol. If others knew my personality, you would think I would NEVER get any kind of tattoo, but I have a lot of them XD

Well, i have two scars over both knees. One of them is a patella tendon transfer, and the other is a lateral release and stuff. This kind of work leaves scars. So - tattoos. You get scarred because you want to. OK - now you are star-like.(Please see earlier reference to a really good poem). If it works for you then fine. :)

almost 30 years old and no tat's...i like tats when done right and are meaningful, one of my best friends is almost covered but he seeks out good artists and takes his time with the details of how it looks

i'm seeing a wide array of people vaping and i'm not just talking about someone going to the gas station and picking up an ego....doesn't mean most people don't hear the word vaper and think of a certain type of person ie: hipster and think ew i want no part of that

or when i'm swimming all day and go home, shower throw on a t-shirt and jeans and go to the vape store, if i'm the best dressed person in the place other than the workers, ppl will frown upon it, it's just how it works

No tats on this here kitty, either. :)

I truly believe it is a generational thing (with exceptions: Navy vets, ex-cons, etc.). Younger people seem to have taken to ink like a duck to water. People in their 40's and on up would mostly rather die than be seen sporting a tattoo! (Note above exceptions.) :p

I try very hard not to make any assumptions about people who have tattoos -- except for those really scary looking ones around the neck . . . :D
