Sounds kind of dumb to say but I always had a habit of biting down a bit on the filters of my analogs. Anyway I was doing that same thing with my ecig and it was causing 3 or 4 of my teeth to hurt. Chompimg down on the metal cart as opposed to the soft filter was none to bright on my behalf lol but once i realized it and stopped doing it the teeth pain went away. You may be doing that and not even realize it.

I had a problem with irritated, bleeding gums in the beginning but that eventually improved. I know what you mean about having cigs in the house. My husband still smokes, which makes it a challenge for me. Don't beat yourself up if you cave and have one. Just try again. Eventually, you'll develop the mindset to quit totally. Good luck!

vaping can cause tooth pain, especially if your wife used to drink a lot of soda (even diet soda) because the phosphoric acid will cause small erosion of the teeth that allows hot, cold and sweet to irritate the nerves. Switching to a "sensitive teeth" toothpaste (and avoiding soda) can help with this.

There can also be pain in the teeth and gums for reasons I have not ascertained, but when I started vaping I had sore gums and even the back of my tongue was sore for a little while.

As for having just a few analogs ... well, I went from 25 analogs a day to 5 and I am perfectly happy with that at this point. I realize our politically correct establishment draws no distinction in harmfulness between a whiff of second-hand smoke from someone 100 feet away and being a 5 pack a day smoker; but common sense tells you that less is better.

Of course, you might not want to listen to me on that because I didn't even start vaping with the intention of quitting or even seriously cutting down; so the dramatic reduction in analogs is just a bonus for me.

This is interesting because I started to get pain in my teeth about 3 months after I started vaping. It's been over 2 years now and still have it :(.

Have you seen a dentist and mentioned this? Maybe you are grinding your teeth at night or there is another issue. 2 years seems like a long time - it wouldn't be withdrawal from cigarettes at this point.

I can't believe no one has mentioned dehydration.. anyway---tell her to drink more water. The vapor you see when exhaling is actually your own moisture from your mouth and throat bonding with the propylene glycol in the e-liquid. It is VERY important to up your fluid intake when you become a vaper. I have the same problem when I don't drink enough during the day, so I try to always remember to drink more water. Also, using good ole Listerine just held in my mouth (not gargled) and swished around will help clean out any gum disease causing germs under the gum line that can cause pain around the roots of her teeth. I don't believe her pain has anything to do with what kind of tip or mouthpiece she is using unless she is actually walking around with it gripped between her teeth for extended periods of time.

Definitely have the same problem, sensitive teeth. Only while hitting certain companie's juices, though. The sweet ones are notorious for that.

Happened by here looking for anyone in Canada or anywhere for that matter, that has had throat irritation/rash/redness noticable on the exterior of the neck, by the Adam's apple, from certain juice vendors. This constant clearing of phlegm from the throat has always been there but it's become so bad that it's getting dark grey ? and right where I feel is coming from is the sight where the redness/rash (now more of a red blemish) right on the tip of the 'apple'. Sorry, it's a bit gross but facts are needed for an accurate answer. Thanks.

Ok, I'll quickly metion dehydration as well. This is not my doctor's office who'll only address one question a visit. Been vaping for a year, today, and the 1st thing I noticed way back when, a year ago was this really dry hands thing. I drink 3-4 liters of water a day and started using hand cream by the case! It's never ceased until I changed juice vendors some months ago. Then it wasn't near as bad.

I started vapeing a few weeks ago and I'm trying to bring my wife along. The first issue was bad tasting carts, but we got some new flavors. The new issue is teeth pain. Does anyone know why or what is causing the pain and if switching to vg or something will help?

I'm vapeing the SI Volt BTW.

Pardon the redundance if this has already been posted. You're likely dehydrated. That will cause your gums to recede and cause pain. The one bad side effect of vaping is dehydration. Nice there's an easy cure, drink more water. All that vapor you see in the air is your water supply going up in vapor. I had your same complaint and was told to drink like a camel getting ready to cross the desert. It worked and the problem was solved. Hope it works for you, too. Be well soon :)

Justadrop, different people have sensitivities to PG, to VG, to certain flavors. I have friends who will get welts (red, itchy, bumps) and/or headaches and/or blurred vision from certain combinations. Some people switch to VG only, and organic flavorings. Others are PG-only, still others have to avoid cinnamon (or other things).

You could try some unflavored eliquid, a bottle each of PG-based and VG-based (a little distille dwater or high proof grain alcohol will thin out the VG), at whatever strength you use, see if one or both of them is okay for you. Get something that works, then branch out to try and see if it is one or several, certain flavoring(s) that cause trouble.

The medical side beats me, I'm not a doctor and even my wife (who is one) would say "go see your doctor". If it's minor enough, I'd work through it as described above.

Well this year and not due to vaping i had a back tooth bothering me went to the dentist and it was yanked out no more pain.
Again this year another tooth started to bother me went to the dentist and had that one yanked out also.
She did mention on the most recent visit "are you doing something different your teeth look cleaner"
I said "yes i had quit smoking since May and vape.

I have not heard about anyones teeth hurting due to vaping as of yet.

Thanks. The throat thing is defintely related to the canadian juices, theres' NO doubt whatsoever. I never get that with juices 'sent' to me through friends from the USA. Not once and I can vape non stop with the USA stuff. Anything from USA seems fine. Canadian juices are the culpert. I have a Darwin on order for christmas but that's going on the block. Anologs will have to fill the void that's left from having to quit vaping after a yr. Oh well. It was a good run.

I have good teeth, my gums had improved remarkably with frequent treatment after smoking 40yrs & now i am having problems. I've been vaping for over a year now with no issues until last week. I had excrutiating tooth sensitivity and pain. I did some google searches on vaping and tooth pain and it's true. Others are having the same problem. I narrowed it down to the cinnamon liquid I am using. I switched back to apple cinnamon vs. straight cinnamon flavor and the problem is solved. I also have to add I am 46 years old with excellent teeth....no issues with sensitivity in the past or anything like that so I knew something was wrong.
