Tell me about USB passthroughs

A usb passthrough is a ecig tethered to USB. There are two kinds. The 3.7 volt passthrough has a battery that is charged as you vape. The 5volt USB Passthrough has no battery and runs solely off the usb port so you don't have to use your batteries while at home. I personally like the 5 volt one better as it has more umph. I would recommend if you get one to also get an ac to usb adapter because it's not the best thing for your pc. They are only 5 to 10 dollars.
if you find that you sit in front of the computer vaping alot, then i would recommend one. They are a substitution for a battery and just take the power from your usb port and link it to your atomizer. They are actually pretty easy to make. Search for usb passthrough on youtube, and you will find a couple diy videos.
You can also buy ones that have a battery too, so you can just disconnect and take your vaporizer with you.
I am a total newbie, but I made one from an old usb cable and some junk in my toolbox.. it is easy if you have any experience with wiring and soldering. If not, buying one is not a bad investment in my opinion.

I made one too. It's variable voltage like my Buzz Pro and goes from 3 volts to well past 6 volts.
Oh and has a volt/amp display. But you don't need to get that involved.
Does any know where to get a reasonably priced 5volt passtough to use with a KR808 ?

My kit came with one but I didn't think I'd ever want to be tethered to my PC when I could just use one of my batteries instead. Boy was I wrong. I sit in front of the computer all day at work and almost exclusively use a PT. Every hit from my PT performs like a fully charged battery, plus you don't have to worry about running through batteries all the time.

The ones I've tried without the inline battery died within a week (two of them). The Ego is as advertised. Totally Wicked has them for $13.99 right now. I paid $25 darn it. TORNADO Manual Passthrough - Black
Most PTs draw more amps than a PC's USB port provides and can damage a PC. I recommend a AC to USB adapter.

Standard w/ a fake battery looking piece, and ones with a special inline battery. With the latter you are actually vaping off the battery as the battery is being charged so those may need to charge a it to be usable but once charged you can disconnect and walk around - with those the battery section can go bad just like any other battery can go bad

Madvapes is a good 5V PT and I am not sure if it was already mentioned but be sure to get the 2 amp wall adapter as I have seen people screw their computers up having their PT connected to the USB port. I have a Buzz but I still like to use my 5V PT while traveling
BTW- The one at MV is a 510. This is where I got my 808 from and am very happy with it

Not to nit pick.... But how are you getting 6vlts out of a 5vlt out put which is a standard usb port... Just asking...

I would suggest an joye ego 650 or 1000mah pass through with a 510-901/808 adapter...... About $2.50 or so plus shipping on the adapter the pass through google search... Liberty flights are are about 20 bucks on the pass through....
