Well I've taken the plunge now and I'm in this whole heartedly. Only been 4 days w/o analogs and I swear I can feel something. what I want to know is you people, you who have been analog free for several months now, tell me how you feel. Are your lungs actually clear? Do you have more energy? For some reason I think my lungs will still be tainted due to the fact that I'm still inhaling nicotine. I know no tar, chemical etc...it's just hard for me to wrap my head around.

To be honest, I was trying to get back into jogging and I was mislead here by the grace of god. I've packed on the pounds for the last few years and found after 30 analogs a day I couldn't jog a quarter mile without a slight case of cardiac arrest. So here we are, all trying to do better for ourselves and the ones around us. So tell me your story! Give me, and possibly someone on the fence browsing this exact post some added confidence!

i noticed tonight that i can breathe through my nose again for the first time in 16 years, my sinuses are finally clearing up after 3 months of vaping. i actually have a runny nose lol.

i used to have a sickly, wet rattle in my chest, that's gone. i used to have a phlegmy smoker's cough/laugh, that's gone. i sleep better. my head doesn't feel like it's in a perpetual fog. i can taste food again. i actually have saliva again. not to be fresh but i'm able to engage in a certain physical activity better than i ever have in my life :) lol. my tongue has regained it's natural size and color. my gums are pink again. i haven't felt that maddening craving for my e-cig the way i did after an hour of going without an analog, i can just pick it up whenever, i don't NEED it.

if anybody is on the fence, these improvements e-cig users talk about are 100% truth. when i got it i expected it to be a novelty and i'd immediately be back to analogs but here i am 3 months later.

edit- i have noticed an odd side-effect that probably only applies to me. my craving for coffee has almost disappeared. i just don't feel like it any more. i used to drink 4, 5 cups a day but now having 2 is an ordeal.

I don't know if gaining weight is an improvement. But I did really gained weight. From 74 to 78. It seems I'm always hungry all the time and my taste buds are working back to normal. And before I usually had build-up of phlegm in the morning. After 4 months of vaping it suddenly stopped. My breathing became smoother and I don't hear the familiar whistling sound anymore.

NONE of these: Seizures (my biggest concern. I was unable to quit cold-turkey because of seizing, so the e-cig is my savior), smoker's cough, winded after climbing stairs, rapid-heart beat if I don't have an analog, panic-attacks from stress (analogs never really helped me de-stress, they simply numbed me), killer smoker's breathe/"furry tongue", sleeping problems/borderline insomnia, and finally no more bronchial infections. ... stupid .......*** analogs...

ALL of these: More air when I breathe (this was the first thing I noticed!), my tastebuds can actually ya know TASTE things, more appetite, improved sleep, energy increase (not that I need it hehehehe), better digestion of food, more positivity in general with college/home-life/friends, ability to exercise without coughing up my lungs, and last but not least the motivation to resolve my stress issues!

With the help of e-cigs, my family, my friends (especially my BFF who has one!), and of course this amazing forum, my overall health has GREATLY improved! :vapor: :toast:

I invested in an e-cig about a year ago. It made me quit smoking for 5 months, no analogs. Somthing major happened in my life, in which i used the excuse to go back to analogs and have been smoking a pack or more a day since. In the mail tomorrow, i am getting a much better model (and i actually know how to take care of an e-cig properly now) so that will be when i quit for the rest of my life. i CANT WAIT.

Anyways, after about 4 days i noticed a difference, a week later a huge difference. No phlem, smokers cough, SMELL, or addiction. It's honestly a GREAT refresher. Good luck!

I think the most noticable improvement was what is commonly mentioned. The lung difference. I can take big deep breathes without fear of coughing anymore. You mentioned you wanted to jog. You will notice a tremendous difference as time goes on with your pv. I honestly dont feel it holds me back at all. I would surmise from personal experience that the difference from a pv user..heavy or not doesnt miss much as far as endurance and cardio capability when compared to a non smoker period. No cough...no phlegm...no mid day needed naps...no black shadows! Yea life is much improved! I must say I know some are aiming at using these to quit. I am not one of those people. I think the ill effects short and long term are so minut IMO that I have no intentions of quitting. Yea I like my cake and eating it to :p

I smoked 2 packs a day for over 30 years. I've been vaping about 2 1/2 months. The change is awesome! Before I starting vaping, I had to use an inhaler several times every day....no more inhaler. I coughed like crazy --the cough is gone. My lungs feel like they can breathe again. I can climb stairs without being winded. My energy and stamina have increased ten-fold. My food tastes different---it actually tastes good! I don't stink, my house doesn't stink, my car doesn't stink! I don't feel guilty all the time about smoking around my family or feeling embarrassed when I bought a pack. I sleep better and my sleep apnea has improved. And, hopefully, I won't get bronchitis this winter like I have every winter for the last so many years. I know I couldn't have quit analogs without the ecig as I have tried dozens of times and never succeeded for more than a few months. I am a very very happy ex-smoker.

I never really had wheezing or a smokers cough.. but I would definitely cough. I couldn't run. And when I breathed, I could feel STUFF in my lungs impeding my breathing. Like there was a thick buildup of gooey mess and the air was gurgling to get through it. Really gross. Since I started vaping, I have clear-sounding lungs.

I've been working my way BACK to physical fitness.. I can walk up huge hills now and instead of my lungs burning immediately and in a bad way, it's only the really cold air that burns, and it's generally just my nose. Amazing feeling. I feel lighter and more energetic in general.

I'm a skinny gal, always have been. When I exercise regularly, I put on a few pounds -- and I need to. Another 5 or 10 would do me some good. These days, I wake up in the morning and feel .. HUNGER! Also I'm craving fruits and veggies a LOT -- really abnormal for me (meat and potatoes kinda girl), but I love it.

Had a philly steak sammich the other day and after my first bite I looked at my boyfriend and said "OMG THE FLAVOR!"

Yeah, I love it.
