Ah Fudgey you haven't been in an elevator lately have you. Our 80's music is now elevator music. It's scarry when you start to like the music they are playing in the elevators and recognize the songs.

I don't get out much....LOL We don't have elavator music in the building I work in......hmmm I may have to suggest that :)

My grandson helps out at my women's group dances..so of course my friends tease him about the 60's music. They are floored when he starts listing his favorites! They don't know he was drilled on them by me!
My friends teen age daughter used to come up to St Cloud (Fl) to visit in the summer..she didn't mind me playing "oldies" on the radio when we were in the pool. But one day she said "mary, can we listen to music today that isn't done by dead people?" I said sure..so she spun the dial to her station and it was an all day tribute to ELVIS!

After I left the house I did go to a Dead Head concert, but that was more like time travel than seeing a concert, it was just very strange. I felt like I was the only sober person left in the 60's. ( this was in the late 80's very early 90's, but everyone there was still living in the 60's)

Yeah what a long strange trip its been 8)

I'm an 80s child, I've been to see a few different bands, a couple of the most memorable were Type O negative (so glad i got to see them before Peter Steele passed on), Nine Inch Nails, Ozzfest with Cradle of Filth and Disturbed, Video Games live with my kids (if you don't know what that is, its an orchestra concert where they play video game music, have some on stage performances as well as a big screen with video game images, etc, starting with PONG and going up to recent. Saw one in NH with the creator of the video game himself as he is a NH resident! :D ) and the most recent was getting to see Disturbed with my fiance up in Halifax. Oh and I got to see Sarah Mclaughlan with my mom when I was a teenager, real actual bonding with her at that time, it was wonderful.
However I want to see David Bowie still. I grew up listening to rock, everything from The Doors to Van Halen, and still adore a lot of the "classic rock" from the 60s and 70s.
