So what am I doing wrong? I put three drops in through the drip tip and let it sit for a few minutes, added another drop and took a hit. Ended up with a slight metallic taste and a wimpy bit of vapor. Took the drip tip off and put the juice directly on the bridge, and it was ok for a hit or two (still expecting more vapor, but it was definitely getting better), then got that slight metalic taste again. Put a few more drops in through the drip tip and it's still not doing anything.

If it matters, this is on an e-Power (and I had to use a 510 to 510 extender because the draw was impossibly tight without it).

Maybe make sure the drops are hitting the right places. For me, with first time use I just apply about 3-4 drops directly onto bridge and make sure some hits the coil underneath, adding another drop to that spot if it appears dry. Then I vape it at around 6-7 watts for a few pulls until I feel like its safe to crank it up and add more drops when needed.

Thanks. Vapor is coming alive now but taste is not. I'm also getting a burning sensation on the back of my throat.

I'm sure it's something I'm doing. Maybe I should blow it out and start again, but I really hate to waste the juice I'm using.

Definitely getting better though. Maybe it just takes some time to break in (I have no experience with dripping).

Do new attys work better with thinner juice? I just dropped a few drops of Apple Pie from that place that sells VG juices with the consistency of PG and got good flavor immediately. When that died down, I dripped some organic blueberry pancake that's a 70/30 mixture (what I was using originally) and it's working a bit better now.

Glad its getting better. Whats your voltage? If your coil wicking is still unburnt then you shouldn't be getting a burnt taste with a saturated atty. It might be worth cleaning or at least blowing out the juice and trying again with some fresh juice, if you keep vaping and the burning sensation persists.

It's working much better with other juices. I'll go back to the juice that was giving it problems to see if it just needed a little breaking in. I really hope that's the case because I love this brand of juice (though the lack of a response on the following issue has me reconsidering where I purchase most of my juice from). I was using the same juice on an ego-t atty (type B, LR) and the wick started burning on it. I can't get that atty to work anymore. Same brand but different juice caused the same thing on my other ego-t atty.

Ugh. Having problems with organically flavored juice on this (both Blueberry Pancake and Chai Tea). The stuff works fine on my cartos (extremely well on the LR Fusions :vapor:). Again, this isn't the only atty that hasn't liked this juice. All my other juices work extremely well with it.

I'm pretty sure organic flavors tend to burn a lot easier, maybe the power of the io6 is too much or the voltage is too much. Not sure about the particles...its possible.

An alcohol bath overnight would most likely help, like any of the atty cleaning methods that don't require dry burning. I would only do this though if the atty is unusable.

It's unusable. What kind of alcohol?

I could try de-wicking, though I'm sure the wick is in there for a reason.

I'll let someone else confirm if taking out the wick in the coil will render it unusable. Though a wet wick around the coil will be very difficult to remove, and it would be easy to damage the coil. After a wash and alcohol bath though the alcohol would absorb and dry out, making it possible to remove it, maybe.

Cheap unflavored vodka works. Let it sit for a night or two and dry.

12 drops?!? Good lord... that's too much! Flooding the atomizer is just as bad as dry burning. If it seems like it is blocked or clogged then give it a soak in some vodka for 30 mins. Blow through battery end towards the bridge/coil after 30 mins and then stick it back in the alcohol for another 30 mins. Then give it another blow through the battery end. Let stand for ~5 minutes to make sure all the alcohol evaporates, reprime and vape.
