Hi Caged,
I'm sorry your having a bad time with these. A While back back I jumped on the organic flavors too. It was an attempt to to contribute to an organic lifestyle that my dear friend Leigh tried getting me into.
The flavors were good, but they just didn't seem to want to wick well. They were dark liquids which were pretty thick. Through out the years I learned dark liquids just never seem to vape right. If you noticed on a Clear cartomizer when you use a standard liquid which is typically a light golden yellow, over time the remaining liquid starts to turn brown, as it's receiving heat but being recycled again. It starts to get gunky. Now if you take whats already dark and thick (twss) it will solidifies even faster. But that was pretty off topic, well it can be  Back to the organic stuff, I went through 5 different flavors with various pieces of equipment and all just had the poorest performance in a matter of a few hits.

You can use alcohol to clean, but remember, a heating core is a solvent. They disintegrate over time in a very slow process during each use. Alcohol does accelerate this process. So when you soak it in, (use a barrel or something along the lines of a syringe body that fits the atty) let it soak for about 30 minutes, agitate the container very lightly, let sit for another 30, agitate then dump out. Then wipe off the threading and blow through from the bottom end out. It's best to use your mouth as canned air as horrible properties in it's contents and the pressure is just too strong. When nothing is coming out if the atty, let it sit for about 30 more minutes, by this time all the alcohol should be evaporated and the atty should be bone dry. Now place the nozzle of the e-liquid right up against the bridge and press in a few drops, 3 seconds should do it and you should be right as rain. This process should only be taken as a last resort only. Repeating this method will kill your atty over time.

I learned if you let the atty soak for about 6-8 hours the mesh becomes very damaged and extremely stiff rendering the atomizer useless.
ps. iuf you can grab a bottle of Everclear Grain alcohol, it will be better. I believe Switcher has used iso-propyl as an alternative.;)
Good luck!

Thank you. I knew going in I have not been able to drip very well so a few atties might be sacrificed. When it worked, it worked well, but I seem to keep running it to dry spots. I can get it going, then when it comes time to re-drip I add three drops and only get a few drags before taste and vapor goes again. Add three more of a different flavor and the previous flavor starts kicking again. With some juices, I can get 18 good drags and I really like that.

I guess the filler on cartomizers work as some sort of a filter for organic juices because it works fairly well on the Fusions (and the flavor is perfect -- everything tastes as it should on them). I'm guessing I'd get longer life with other juices though.

another helpful hint that could go in a sticky thread about atty use;)
Hey Tybin,
I seen your post in the Help section about getting good info out there and have been thinking about it ever since. Maybe the method would be good in the longevity thread? what do you think?
Good information, Isaac!

I go 1 step further and add Tequila....

1. Clean a shot glass
2. Fill it with Patron
3. Take shot
4. Rinse out shot glass
5. Fill with Everclear (do not take this shot)
6. Let attys soak for 30 mins, then blow, then soak for a few more minutes.

Now that's a technique we can all enjoy!

Ahh I see, not a problem Cage,
Ok when you drip, turn the unit diagonally and drip into the drip tip at 90 degrees, where you really want the liquid to go is down the inner wall so it hits the mesh ring under the bridge, dropping on the bridge is just fine though, that's what the wick is for, to transfer the liquid right on to the heating core. What your noticing is, by when your dripping and hitting immediately then adding 3 more then feeling it. This is because the extra 3 drops is pushing the rest into the cup where the core resides. When you go to re-fill your 3 drops, give a very slight outward puff into the drip tip. It's a learning curve on how much pressure I mean, but you will get it. Keep a napkin handy when you attempt this, because if there's too much liquid, it will start to seep out or you may be blowing too hard. It's jus a slight tiny itsy bitsy puff is what you need to do. I do this as a standard just in case when liquid hangs in the drip tip, typically direct dripping into the center of the tip will cause the liquid to bubble.

I think a post with the consolidated info and then closed would be good. if it's a sticky, it can be found that way. the other one got bogged down with way too much side tracking:blush::2c:
