I have a love/hate relationship with my eGo One 2.5 ml tank. I was so upset one day I almost threw it out my car window. On any given day it works as good as any sub ohmer I've ever had and on the next day, you can't taste your juice (weird) or it has minor leaking issues (frustrating) or the tank doesn't sit flush to the base (also frustrating). Most of these issues were with the stock coils from the manu. but that changed when I received the CLR heads. It was like it became a new tank for about a 10 days until I had to rebuild it the first time. My .5 build read at 1.0 and I guessed my wicking was crap so it leaked. Build #2, too much cotton and got several dry hits. Build #3 is a .4 but was intended to be .5 to .6 with 26 ga kanthal and it works ok with the cotton bacon I use to wick. I use it mostly for stealth situations but something keeps telling me that it can be great if I do something I haven't tried yet. Does anyone else have gear that you would consider "part-time"?

I have some gear I loved when I got it, but would not touch now.
I do not blame the gear. I recognize the advancements and change in my requirements.
I like the innovations like the EGO-ONE and Kangers Subtanks, but consider them very much Beginner tanks designed for simplicity of use with the ability to learn and advance.
Ultimately one must decide when they have advanced beyond the nature of the device and pick something on the next level rather than attempting to for more out of that primary device.
What i am saying is they are slightly experimental Giant Clearomizers and moving to a RTA may be the necessary next step.

Your coils may never read exactly the same or as expected from coil to coil. it depends on your build abilities and every aspect or the atomizer. Connections play a large part in stable resistance readings.
A loose screw isn't the only reason for a resistance shift.
Coil spacing changes(accidental compression or spreading)
Loose screw(s)
Dirty/coated contact areas(carbon is a problem)
Oils from hand on wire (disrupts flow some)
Connections for removable build sections
Atomizer pin condition
Mod pin condition

All have a part in final outcome.
I'm sure there is more, but it's late.
