Good article link posted by @gandymarsh The only thing I didn't see in the article was the use of SS in TC mode (that's what I use). SS can be used in either wattage or TC mode and not every mod that offers TC has SS as an option so if that's what your looking for make sure that option is available. I use the Pico 75w mod myself that has that option. There are many others and most of the newer ones seem to be incorporating SS in their devices.

Welcome and glad you joined.
Sounds like TC has it's uses, the article below seems to point out a number of pros and cons. If you like living on the edge, your going to need a taller guard rail.

Hi Dieseler & welcome
What TC allows you to do is hold your finger on the fire button longer than if you are in power mode. In power mode the coil would quickly get too hot and start to burn your wick & juice. In TC mode the mod shuts the power down to keep the coil from getting too hot and you can take a longer breath and get more vapor.

A pod mod is just the battery part of a vape that has a replaceable disposable juice pod on it.

You can only use temperature control with correct metal coils: Nickel, Titanium and Stainless steel

Benefit:
  • Stable vaping
  • Better control of vaping experience
  • prevents dry hits
  • longer battery life

Notes:
  • Nickel and titanium MUST be only used in temperature control due to metal oxidation at high temperature that can happen in wattage mode.
  • Stainless Steel can be used in both wattage more and temperature control

Pod mods are small devices that are a battery that uses a disposable cartridge that has a coil and liquid, that when empty, you replace it.
