Who else has been having problems with the Tenergy brand 3volt batts?

Some of mine hold a charge for 20 minutes, then the voltage measured drops to under 2 volts.

Thrown out 3 batteries already.8-o
Have you tried the AW's RCR123A 750mah? The cost 9 dollars each at - EagleTac-Store.Com. Don't know how they work maybe someone can give us some feedback. Personally I'm very disappointed with these tenergy batteries so I have switched to the ultra fire 18650's 2400mah. After charging I had 4.1 or 4.2 volts and have lasted me all day so far. I use the 510 on it and my atomizer doesn't get as hot as it was getting with the rcr123a's. So far I am a happy camper.

Ok but you are using 3.7 volts x 2.
So fully charged you are vaping over 8 volts.
That's some serious vapage!

The tenergy are 3 volts i think.

The problem may be the charger. The metal prongs do not always make good contact and the battery doesn't charge fully as a result, even though the light turns green. The fix is to gently bend the prongs out a bit. The battery should fit tightly enough so that you can hold the charger upside down without the batteries falling out.

That is correct, I am using 1 3.7v 18650 battery but fully charged registered at 4.1 or 4.2. I haven't tried the other rcr123a and that is what I thought you were talking about quovadis.

Is the resistor in the switch user swapable? Or do I have to order a new switch? I would like to have the option to go to 3.7v at times.

You're going to need to purchase the extra switch.
It comes standard with the 5v resistored switch that will force you to stick with 2x 3v CR123a's.
Now, if you order the switch, this will give you the choice to use one 3.7v battery, or 2x 3v's which without the resistor will give you a full 6v.

If you want to be able to play with your options, buy the un-resistored switch. I plan to do this in the future so I can swap around with 3.7, 5 AND 6 volts whenever I like without having to purchase multiple PV's.

Thanks for the info. I kind of thought that was the case. I guess that will be on my first accessory order.

I've been thinking about trying the 18650 and I use an 801 atomizer. Do you have any experience with that combo on a Prodigy?

Most of the juices I like taste better at the lower voltage. I can bump up the nic to compensate for less vapor per hit. Would be nice to have a battery that lasted all day.

Back to your original topic. I had hoped that the Tenergy brand of batteries would be better than the Trustfire/Ultrafire brands. I am not impressed with those brands. Their quality control is not very good. I have had a 20% DOA rate so far wiith them.

Very true. This trick seems to be doing a great job of keeping my batteries snug in the charger http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/puresmoker/36026-tenergy-charger-connection-problems-try.html

Guys
i have some very good charger models that have nothing to do with tenergy.

What i am trying to warn you of is the following :
1. charge both tenergy 3v batteries.
2. measure them when charged , they should read 3.2 ~ 3.4 V each.
3. Start vaping
4 after about 30 minutes the vapor production drops or the atty sizzles no more.
5. remove the batteries.
6. measure them again.

The bad battery reads 2v or thereabouts.
The one that is not defective still reads above 3 v.

The prodigy cannot perform correctly with one good battery and the other one that loses its charge over the first 30 minutes.

I am trying to say that you need to find the bad ones and throw them out.
