Loving this tank!

@Marc411

M class hasn't come in yet, but I've been trying different twisted kanthal builds. Twisted are a first for me. I have both metric and sae bits...what diameter are you running with the 24 guage? I know I could find info in the coil building section, but I would like info for this specific deck. This 2.5 diam with 28 is a touch too wide..

@Marc411 , @Mtek , or @dems86 I really want to purchase one of these beautiful pieces called the Tengu v2. I'm sorry that I'm being ridiculous and responding to this post only a year and 6 months later, but I don't know if I should pull the trigger. I like mouth to lung hits, but like it a tad bigger if you will, like 3 mm dual airflow, which this seems it is about. The only issue is, I'd want to build low, like about .2-.3 on most days and I'm afraid that this thing won't be able to withstand builds like that on the daily, with the more constricted airflow. But when I look at how you can adjust the amount of juice that hits your coil, I'm thinking at the same time that this simple yet effective feature will actually help withstand builds like that and keep it from getting dry hits whatsoever. Please respond if you can guys! I'm now looking at this, a Merkava, and some lower end things like a Cthulu v2. But this just looks like a piece of art that will last me some time that I will love and cherish. Thanks!

Dont know if you made up your mind yet but be aware these things are, as someone said, like unicorns. Somone might correct me but I think there may only be 100 in existence and there is one left on the modnworld site. I am not aware of anywhere else they can be sourced. I just received one and I suspect it may have been one returned to Tark for whatever reason as I think I looked a little while ago and they were sold out. I may be wrong. All I am saying is if you want one, you need to move pretty quickly (before I get another one...only joking). I guess it likely that Tark will be doing a V3 at some stage or maybe another run of V2s but I really have no info on that but @dems86 , @Marc411 , @Mtek or others may have more insight!

I havent had chance to build it but I can tell you the AF is pretty open and will support a pretty unrestricted LH so I dont think you will have a problem with that. Im interested that a M2L vaper is building at such low resistances routinely in tanks and then need a large AF but each to his own I guess. Mine will be exclusively TP with Ti and as I am pretty much a direct LH sort of guy, I have no doubts that this device will provide an excellent vape.

Hope this helps!

cheers

Ok guys and girls, you know me well enough by now to realise the questions will start flowing whenever a new atty floats into view...here we go!

1. What is the deal with AFC ring adjustment? Is it supposed to lock down when the base and tank are screwed together? No big deal and my GS2 does the same thing but just asking!!
2. Spares - none with the delivery and none visible on the website -I realise the svoemestro m and nano tanks work from @Mtek 's post but what about o-rings/screws etc (although there arent many o-rings to be sure - Nice!).
3. What is your 510 screw made of? Mine looks like ss or maybe silver plated something but it looks a bit beaten up/corroded :( - again no biggie.
4. Is there a trick to unscrewing from the mod without leaving the base behind?? There doesnt seem like much to grip down there!
5. Whats the best way to get the filler top cap off. Its really tricky to lift out after its unscrewed and turning it upside down doesnt seem to be a sensible option. Tweezers?

...yeah Im high maintenance and really dumb. Poor combination but I know you folks will take pity :)

cheers

steve

Hey Steve, I just wondered back to the tread because you liked a post.

1. Yes by design the AFC ring is supposed to lock when you screw the upper portion of the deck to the actual deck.

2. I have the sizes I can send you when I get home. Also if you reach out for Tark he is real good about getting back to people.

3. Not sure on the 510

4. The upper section of the deck has a bit of knurling and I just use that when pulling the entire deck section from the tank. I have been able to bottom fill once I got my act together.

5. You are absolutely correct, the filler cap is a PITA, I use a toothpick once I get it unscrewed.

I have many tanks in my stable and for flavor and vapor this tank still ranks at the top.

Hey man,

so grateful for the info. I was just being lazy really but good to know I wasnt too far off base. Everything seems fine and am about to build it and fire her up!!

No problems with spares at the moment but many thanks for your kind offer. Maybe I will drop Tark a line in due course!

On another note, have you heard whether a v3 is in the works, or another v2 run??

Cheers buddy!

Man this thing is absolutely fantastic! 24g Ti, 6 wraps around 2.5 (bit of a squeeze) coming in at 0.18 or something. on the dicodes at 30W and 230C...bloody hell!!! The flavour is ridiculous. Honestly its ridiculous!! Need to make firends with the JF, half a turn atm with 80%VG and its keeping up pretty much. May another quarter turn and Im there I reckon..Did I mention the flavour?!?!? I am officially astonished....

Chimney top cap 8 X 1
Top cap threaded 17 X 1
Top cap juice fill 16 X 1
Base 17 X 1

I am not really sure about the original chimney top cap o ring but the 8 X 1 fits nicely and gives a better seal around the chimney. It fits great in the cut out and I can bottom fill the tank without any leaking around the chimney.

Steve, I squeezed a 2.5mm in mine too, it gets the right amount of cotton on the deck. I tried a 2mm and got a little leaking but only tried one build and figured why mess with it, 2.5 gave a great vape.

So I can say that I don't think additional tanks will be made in the future. E-mailing with Tark he said that he is done building all attys and mods. The folks that own one them definitely own Unicorns. He said he has a couple used Tengu V2's if anyone is looking to grab one.

I have to guess it's tough, people can be real critical and it's not a perfect science. I own his original Viking and it's one of the best drippers I own and only recently got a run for it's money with the Velocity.

I asked about parts and he hasn't gotten back to me yet but if I had to guess I'm thinking he didn't manufacture a bunch of extras.

Damn shame!

Hey Marc

that is sad news indeed. I am so happy that I managed to get hold of one of the 50 or so in existence. A used unit is looking very tempting...

ps. thanks for the info about the o-ring sizes. Very helpful as always!!

pps. the 2.5mm coil with 24g only just fits. On mine the posts arent quite vertical so the gap is a little narrower and the extended tops of the posts which are a great idea actually do get in the way a bit. No leaking so far, no gurgling, whining. Just a really exceptional vape from an exceptional device!

Hi Marc411, I just wanted to ask if you could post the oring sizes for this atty when your time allows. I have one on the way and would greatly appreciate the info! Thanks!!

Interesting you have one on the way. When did you order? Seems there is still one for grabs on the website...
