duuuuhhhh...after my leaking incident last night (after a few glasses of wine I must say) I reassembled and it ws vaping ok'ish but became a bit anemic so I left it. This morning, even worse. Relocked in resistance etc, cranked up watts and temp a bit...no dice. Then I opened the juice flow (which was still flat closed after refill) and, remarkably, all was fine again. What an idiot!
Conclusion: Dont mess with vape gear when drunk!

@roxynoodle lol Yeah it really is. Just picking one of these is the reason why I've been stalling for the past week on pushing that order button. But now that I've seen a few aromamizer videos as well, it really does look pretty great. Is the flavor on it good, obviously depending on a good coil build, etc.. It looks like it's got a small enough chamber that's put into play for it to. You're now really having me consider just buying one of those for my lower dual builds then buying a nice high end RTA that will last me till the end of time. But at the same time, I have some cheaper RDAs in my collection that have lasted for 2 years now with tons of heavy use on them and are still holding up good and strong.

My first build on the Aromamizer left me disappointed. But, that's because I tried to treat it like my other dual coil flavor tanks, and it wants to be a powerhouse. Once I gave it a build that suited it I became a big fan. I've never had a lot of interest in running high power, and enjoy RTAs more than RDAs. I've learned though that with the right build a high power atty can be a wonderful thing. So I had to broaden my horizons. I like it enough that I have a second one on the way.

I wasn't a huge fan of my Cthulhu either for the same reason. Now I have dual Claptons in it and am amazed at how fantastic the flavor is. It went from a ho hum atty for me to a favorite. I am still very much enjoying my low power flavor tanks as well, and don't see myself switching completely over to high power attys, but I've learned I can enjoy both.

@roxynoodle Isn't it strange how these things work. All this vape gear nowadays is customized to be suitable for all vapors, so why not have a little piece of everything I think? I see a lot of people I know that just use high powered attys, yet one of my buddys uses all different kinds of RBAS, including a Gem, Hellfire, and Inax and Origenny, then switches it up completely and builds a .14 on a Pugio rda and pushes it to 90 watts on a dna200 another random day I see him.

Eh, maybe it's the elitist in people when purchasing nothing but high end products and not even considering the lesser. I know I lean more towards them, yet won't discourage against lower priced products if they look good enough.

I was skeptical about the cthulu and other dual coil ones due to the fact that it seemed to be hard to wick them still, but it seems that the channels have gotten even bigger. I'm REALLY surprised you can fit claptons in there.

Many people bring in their personal bias when it comes to opinions. Its normal. It only bothers me when I see someone criticizing something s/he has not only not owned, but has never tried or even seen in person. Or his or her own user error has lead to saying a product is horrible and no one else should buy it. I *try* to just tell of my own personal experience. My Urba is a good example. Mine arrived a little quicker than most peoples' did. My 510 base was mismachined and I could not screw it into 31 of my 32 mods. A few people panicked and thought about refusing their shipments. One person put the blame on me and basically said all my mods were garbage. What was very funny about that is the Urba only worked on my one mod that most closely resembles garbage, lol! Well, mine wasn't the only one with this issue, but not all of them had the issue. So we need to be careful about blanket statements. Thankfully Petar K did send me a new base, and I'm pleased now. But, it was the third high end atty in a row with a major problem that I bought. And he's the only one of the 3 modders to correct the problem.

I also have some budget attys that have honestly amazed me with how well they're made. My UD Aga t7 is beautifully machined and probably one of the best made pieces of vape gear I own. You can pick one of these up for $10! It is a challenging build though, but I like a challenge.

When I buy something I don't necessarily judge it by the price or country of origin. I try to judge it on its own merits or lack thereof. There are some really nice budget priced attys out there that many folks are missing out on because of their bias or the fact that there is no prestige in owning it. But, seriously, its vape gear! Its not artwork or a musical instrument. If it provides a great vape, that's what matters to me most.

The Claptons in the Cthulu were my first attempt at making them. I first tried 6 wraps and couldn't pull it off without touching the chimney. I had to pull them and remove a wrap from each and then they were good.

Agree with @roxynoodle . I have a decent mixture of so-called high-end kit and some more budget stuff with a few clones thrown in. In fact I still use my old atlantis. I got the 5ml tank/chimney as soon as it came out and now run it with the RBA deck. Love it to bits. Same with the kangers sub-tanks. Still use them in daily rotation. Have some others that cost 6 times more that I dont really use at all. Just because they are crazy expensive, doesnt mean they have to be great and the reverse is also true! That's life!

@Marc411 @TheotherSteveS @roxynoodle hello people. I'm keeping this forum chat alive just because I wanted to say that I said to hell with it and bought a Tengu v2 AND an aromamizer. Bought a couple backup polycarbonate windows from him just in case these ones crack to keep my mind at ease as well. Quite some pricy purchases this week. Honestly am quite excited to be able to have such diverse atomizers now, that can deliver such different vape styles, instead of owning nothing but ones where I have such ability to build incredibly low and crank the wattage up.

But for you tengu v2 owners, I was wondering if you can give me measurements for the exact height of the tank section, so that I will know what type of kayfun m tank to buy, whether it be a regular M, or a tall M, for I'd like at least 1 clear m tank just for ....s and giggles so I can see my complete juice capacity some days and see all this beauties' functions at work. Thanks.

lol just about 3 days ago. It was the very last one. No more backups whatsoever. He had 3 more backups. He had put 1 up for me, and I waited till the next day after I'd gotten out of work to get it, and someone snagged it at 9 in the morning. Absolutely dreadful. So I had to do a bit of a "secret order" through his company to make sure I got it. ;) He's an excellent, excellent seller. Out of anyone who I've dealt with over my past 3 or so years of vaping, he has taken care of me above and beyond. I really wanted to support his company.

oh, and thanks @TheotherSteveS I'm super freaking excited for it to arrive. Have you tried any M-tanks on it quite yet or no? I think it would look pretty sweet with the brass knuckles logo really shining bright with a full clear tank, although it does already look great as is.

It's a pretty cool idea knowing there's no more left. Like you and another person said; Truly unicorns.
And I spoke to Tark thoroughly and he said he definitely wasn't planning on making more attys due to cloning troubles with China, but I got a feeling like he may just change his mind one day when inspiration hits.

It's been a great search for a new RBA and I thought it was over for now, but I'm already looking into a Merkava rta, for it looks like an absolute flavor machine with the incredibly small, domed chamber. Looks to kill at a cheaper price too. I need a raise for this hobby!!!

Interesting about the cloning issues. I dont think the tengu has been cloned but I might have missed it...

Whoever said vaping is a cheaper option never developed a penchant for high-end gear...lol!

lol absolutely right. Tark said the tengu wasn't cloned, but either his first or second viking rda was, and he fought like hell for them to take it off the market, and he won it surprisingly, because Modnworld products such as those have an american trademark. Although they are from Western England, so I didn't quite understand why he had said that.
But I was extremely impressed by the fact that he has really tried that hard to make sure none of his products got cloned, to the point where he battled a company over the rights to one of his products. A true craftsman, in my opinion.

We should all be grateful to have a little piece of vaping gear from this person who holds such value to his craft, unlike most other sellers, whose works I still admire, but never quite seemed to care about fighting the good fight.

Glad to be of service my friend. What a klutz! One of those brain fart situations you just convince yourself there is something dreadfully complex going on and cant see the wood for the trees.....and I was a bit inebriated but not that much to be a good excuse!

Did I mention I love this atty!! Awesome pice of kit! Especially with the JF open...lol!

LOL... yep you mentioned you liked it a little.

One this one occasion I will take your pain as my gain!

I've got some DIY Rice Krispy's going in mine right now and the flavor couldn't be any closer to the real thing!
absoluetly my experience also. Its like drinking the juice or something. Not the only device that can do that but not usual for a tank in my experience. Its the fact that the flavour doesnt come at the expense of vapor production..amazing!

cheers bud! have a great weekend.

Go for it. Be aware it is a bit less airy than the tengu but a nice draw nonetheless and very flavoursome! If you order one, drop a not on the order to make sure Chels sends it with the new base. I dont have the new one and the old one works well, but I think the 'v2' with the wick bridge is an improvement!

Oh, thanks for mentioning that. Soo I don't want to sound like some hypocritical s.o.b. here, but I just received my tengu v2 today, and yes it looks amazing, yes build quality is stellar.

The last one he had in stock had a little issue with the 510 threading so he had to sand it down. It just looks a tad messy down there and takes a little bit more screwing down to the bass of the 510 spring than all other atties I have that can seem to almost "glide" on their own threads into the mod. Not a big deal. I had known this prior.

But it had a scratch on the barrel about a mm long. It's something that aggravates me at first, but I know I will get over. For the price point though, it is really ridiculous to have any blemishes.

The last thing is the airflow. @Marc411 if you know about this chime in. I cannot for the life of me adjust the airflow. And I did read from you guys earlier in a forum that it was similar to the Viking rda I believe where you set it, then screw the tank portion down to lock it in. That sounds fine and all, but I can't even turn the afc. There is NO turning to be had on this thing guys. I'm afraid that because there was a problem with the 510 on this one, some things were possibly overlooked. Any comments will be helpful, for after $200, this thing should be kicking .... and taking names, not having an issue like this.

@TheotherSteveS Well, Steve, the AFC ring was just stuck like crazy and took me a good half hour of good gripping to get loose is all. Finally got it up and running with an alright looking build. Isn't any contest winner, and it's a .7, but I must say, I am absolutely loving it. It's running hotter than I had imagined, and the throat hit is better, I'm thinking due to the tad more restrictive afc compared my more open drippers. You guys were right about there being a few things to figure out, like with the filling hole, I would have to either flip it upside down to get it off or get some little tool to pick it out, but overall, just little things I'm already getting used to after a day. I am a harsh critic, and after today, I am more than happy with this. Compared to the original Silverplay RTA I have, this thing does run quite a few good, hard miles around it easily lol! The chamber is that much smaller compared to it.

Steve, when you mentioned your Merkava's airflow earlier, I was wondering if it is almost half that of Tengu? Because I do notice that when you do have one big, drilled out 2.5 mm hole, compared to a bunch of tiny little holes on the Tengu, air will pass through easier. I definitely noticed this comparison when even closing off the 3mm airflow to the silverplay and comparing to the tengu. Thanks!
