Hey Folks,

Just felt like going somewhere to relay this story..

So I ordered some hardware for PS like last week, zip tip, some other stuff (batts, adapter).

So this Zip Tip rocked. It was super nice looking with my v2 and blue carto's, I loved how it vaped, and how easy dripping was, even for a carto.

So, yesterday I am driving to work and Im in between vapes from my V2 when I see a landscaping truck with a trailer parked on the road. This is a fairly busy st connecting to a busier main route in the area. I started to pass the truck, and saw some oncoming vehicles a ways off (the truck is taking up 2/3-3/4 of my lane).

I turn the wheel slightly to get more into my lane.. super bad move. There was aparently a 5 inch gate hitch protruding from the side of the trailer (painted all black of course).

Impacts my passenger tire. Rips through that, slices my front bumper in half, tears apart my quater panel, tears into my door, hooks the wheel which bends the axle and slams it into the frame, crunching up the frame.

Airbag goes off pretty much immediately sending my left hand (holding my V2 with awesome new zip-tip) into my chin and knocks me out, simultaneously it snaps the carto from the screw base. Carto body and ziptip go flying off out of the open window somewhere into never never land.

Thankfully I just had some slight bruising and a burn pattern on my right wrist from the airbag, no one was hurt. Not sure if my car is totaled (looks likely) and I just got it a few months ago, so.. im looking down a 9k$ loan which sucks.

On a more, now that no one is hurt level, my V2 still works fine, so thats good. Once I figure out what my damage is Ill get another zip-tip cause it rocks.

So end of the story, the V2 survived a car accident and run in with my face and airbag and survived. V2 1 - Car 0.

Gotta laugh a little.. :)

-Tim

Yeah definitely, I hit at the right place, and my car had been a saturn ion. It may have been a plastic car, but it saved me from getting hooked metal on metal and spinning out of control into oncoming traffic and some large trees across the street. As it was, the plastic just snapped off and my car continued forward.. Super lucky..

Man that sucks! Glad you are ok! Sure hope you had gap coverage if it was a new car?

Much to my chagrin, no, the salesman happily talked me out of it, at the time I didnt think much of it.. hindsight and all that jazz.

Thanks Casey, appreciate the well wishes! Also, thanks for making such a well crafted unit haha, the thing held up like a champ!

for anyone interested, here are the picsies:

took these with my pre after the accident at the tow yard
