I'm a bit new to Li-ion batteries. Can anyone recommend me a good battery that will achieve the 3 amp limit safely and will work with the Tesla mod? I was going to get the Panasonic hybrid batteries, but I see they're discontinued. It makes me wonder if that is for safety reasons, or just something dumb. Probably best for me to have a protected battery as well I'm sure. Thanks guys.

Ok, let me explain a bit more.

What I'm looking for is a battery that is capable of running with an RBA. I want to make a 2.1 ohm coil, and use some of the new hybrid wicks, and max this sucker out to the most of its potential.

I don't know a lot about batteries, but I need one that is going to safely put out 3 amps. I'm guessing I need a 3400 mah protected button top battery, but I am unsure. Can anyone shed some light for me here please?

There shouldn't be any problem with flat top batteries. The problem that some people were having was that the end cap spring wasn't properly seated. If you experience the Tesla turning off automatically, you carefully pull the spring out of the end cap and the put it back in making sure that the bottom of the spring is in the groove of the end cap. This has fixed all problems as far as I have read. But, if you feel safer, you can contact iVapes to make sure about this fix. They are the ones who replied to this problem that another member was having.

You can buy the same problem with a Sigelei Vmax.

Anytime I can help I will. Let us know how the Tesla works.
As a side note- I did have someone tell me that they were using aw imr 3300 batteries. I'm not sure about using these though. Can anyone jump in and tell if this is advisable.

Didn't mean to hijack your thread but I thought this was somewhat related. :)

I'm rotating 4 CGR18650CH flat tops with my Tesla and have not had any problems at all. I did notice that the spring was not seated properly in the bottom cap before I even put a battery in it...

I'm guessing that you pulled the spring and set it back into it's groove. How do you like the Tesla so far?
Thanks:)

Yes, I just pulled the spring and reseated it before I put the first battery in. So far, I really like it. I left it in the kitchen last night and my roommate picked it up and brought it to me... he said "Damn, that's an awfully heavy cigarette!". Considering the fact that only a few months ago I was battling with crappy 808 batteries and cartos, this thing is soooooo much better. Once I decided to get a decent mod, I figured "Go big, or go home!". :) Now that I've found a device that I'm happy with, I've got to work on DIY juice to find that perfect ADV.
