Tesla drip well?!

Hi guys,

I have recently bought myself a Telsa mod and to be honest I love it. I went to clean it out this morning and noticed that the drip well has a seam around it, I thought this would mean I could remove the cap and get right in there to clean it out. The only thing is I can't get it off? So my question is does anyone know if it is actually removable or if the seam is just there for show. Also if anyone has managed to remove it with no damage to the device, any chance you could share the wealth? I would be most grateful

I tried using some long nosed pliers and still nothing except a few groans and more head scratching. Thanks for trying
