Tesla m5 mod help

I need help very badly, guys. I just got a tesla m5 for Christmas from my awesome boyfriend. Trouble is it burns sooo hot. Melt my 18650 (brand new) battery hot. I'm on a mission to get this baby working, guys. He's feeling bad because it's not. I know there must be something I'm not doing right. Thanks in advance.

Whats the resistance of your atty?

What kind of tank did you put on your Tesla? What was the ohm of your coil? What kind of batteries were you using (brand, mah, amp limit)?

Atty is an aerotank. Coil is at 1.8 ohm (by no means rebuilding yet). I'm using efest 18650 (1600 mAh) which is what it said the tesla m5 took on discountvapor's website. I bought two, but because the plastic around the first battery melted it is probably unusable now. I'm positive it is something I'm doing wrong. Should I use a different brand of battery? Or is it my coil?

The coil shorted out. Try a new one from a different pack, at 1.8 ohms, the mod shouldn't get hot at all, so if you feel a little heat, lay off of it.

Hope you get it sorted thinking about getting into mods myself. Think I'll let them assemble it in the shop so I can see it up and running before I part with my cash. Currently using a usb variable voltage pass thru with a mini pro tank 2 on top. Gotta be something better out there.
