I was looking to purchase a new vv/vw device. I want something in the $40.00 range. I was checking out fasttech and found the Tesla and the Itaste Svd. Anybody have experience with either one,or maybe suggestions for something else? Please try to stay in my price range with your suggestions, would love a Provari but my budget can't handle it. Thanks for any advice.i have a Itaste VTR currently and like it but I need a extra.

Well I've had some friends who purchased from Fasttech and they were both happy.
One has the VAMO V5 which is a tube mod and very reliable and the other has an Innokin MVP 2.0 , box-mod with 2600mah battery which means that you don't need any batteries.
Both are great for that price.

I know they are not on your list but since I don't know much about the ones you listed I gave you an alternative :p

You might consider MVP 2 - postings here of owners. I own two and use both daily - solid performers - There is a thread of MVP 2 owners where you can check out their opinions. I paid $42 at

USA supplier so you don't have to wait a month from fast tech to get it.

I am a chain vapor so I switch between vw devices to let atomizers cool.

I cannot recommend buying an SVD. The thing is terrific until the firing button breaks on you. Mine just doesn't power on anymore and I'm left with scrap metal.

I can more than agree. I am on my 3rd one under warranty. Shut soff by itself, Fire button malfunctions. Failure to come out of lock mode. Any or all of the previous problems. A great design poorly executed. My Teslas always work.

Thanks for the advice, would you go with the vamo instead? I have a MVP I like it except for the none replaceable battery,it always dies at inconvenient times, that's why I need another device.its funny one person says Innokins quality control sucks the next says buy a MVP.i like the look and feel of the Svd can't find the tesla local to check out.i guess it's down to the vamo or tesla, any last words of wisdom?

I have been using the segelei zmax v2 stainless for over a year now and it still works like a champ. I've been thinking about geting another one just in case this one ever does break. Fasttech has it for 40 dollars which is in your price range so that would be the one I'd recommend. If you want to use different battery sizes other than the 18650 you can get the V3 or V5 which are telescoping. I have not tried these but I'm sure they are built just as nice as the V2 and fasttech has them for the same price. I would stick with the stainless though just because the threads will last longer. Good luck.

I have a tesla. It is working well for me! A lot of people have mentioned the placement of the buttons, but I got used to it. The buttons may be difficult if you have large fingers, but the fire button is ok.It is a fairly heavy device. But it seems sturdy. I have dropped mine a couple of times on concrete tile and asphalt. The cover on the led display popped out. I snapped it back in and it hasnt moved since. It seems pretty well made on the outside. Haven't seen the insides yet. But the only thing I have to compare it with are egos, so that's just my opinion.

I have a Telsa, it is my at work mod, it is built tough, dropped a few times now on concrete, couple of scatches, but nothing else, also has a floating pin, so don't get any connection problems with toppers, unlike innokin mods.

I do suggest using button top batteries though, flat top did rattle about a little, and didn't want to be pulling the battery spring.

Only had mine a month, but I recommend it.

I have Tesla rant. There has been so much criticism of the Tesla for the button layout. The +,- buttons above the screen making a one handed operation difficult. Ya so what? I was using an SVD today and realized it is far worse. Side buttons? Screen on the opposite side of the fire button? Even the holy grail Provari has the screen on the wrong side as well. I found myself holding the SVD and flipping it over to use the menu feature then it hit me. The Tesla remains in firing position with thumb on the button then use the index finger of the free hand for the other buttons. Much more natural than the SVD. No mention of the SVD "problem" by any review I have seen.

I have the older kamry made tesla and battery life is super bad but the body of the thing is a tank. Floating connector is awesome.

    My SVD was faulty also.
Old vamo won't die. Have to turn it on whenever you put a battery in. Center connection is always wiggly.
SID is pretty good and really wanted the ego connector. Isn't so heavy like vamo. Button is ok. Not sure how it will hold up but cheap.

In order of my preference based on my experience
    MVP
    Tesla
    SVD
I have owned all of these in the past, gave the Tesla and the SVD away but am thinking about getting another Tesla.
The Tesla I gave away to a good friend that needed to upgrade.
The SVD I gave to a friend that enjoyed tinkering because it would not fire anymore

My SVD is 7 months old , without a single problem , to the poster who touted the tesla because of the floating center pin the SVD also has a floating center pin , you were incorrect do your research before posting , the tesla's non removable 20mm top cap is fine for a protank but ridiculous for a kayfun , instant deal breaker for me , I also prefer stainless steel over anodized aluminum , I'll stick with the SVD .
