While it was down I kept myself busy with USB and battery mods. Found a very simple test to determine whether an atomiser is recoverable or completely dead (and if this has been covered on another thread, please forgive me).
USB-main adaptors are extremely cheap - couple of quid off ebay. These have a charging light that stays green except when you are drawing a charge from it. So, plug in your USB e-cig and draw. If the light turns to red the circuit is being completed and your atomiser can still be resuscitated. If it stays green, the circuit is incomplete and the atomiser is ready for the bin.
I'm sure this is simple stuff and someone has posted it before but, hey, you never know - it might help someone.
