I would like to get some thoughts on how people test there DIY samples? What I mean by this is should you clean your atty after each attempt or just vape it till you get that burnt taste and then try it again after you have made your changes. This is all with the same flavors, just tweaking it till you get the right combination down. Does anybody have a good method on doing this?
Thanks for all replys

I started with KR808's and can't drip to save my life lol But the new CE2 cartos are working great for my DIY flavor testing. With no filler, it's easy to switch flavors or just dump the liquid and dry burn to really get rid of the old flavor if needed. Works well to test combos of mixes too, just add drops of each mix in.

for trying out flavors, I usually just put half a drop straight on top of the cart, and then top it off with some 12mg unflavored but slightly sweetened (ethyl maltol) nic liquid. If it goes good and Im curious if it might mix with another flavor, I'll add another half drop of that flavor as well. PG/VG works okay to vape out an undesired flavor from an atty, but i'm too impatient. I take it off, blow it out, then fill it up with straight PG. I then forcefully blow this out, and repeat again. If a flavor seems really stuck, I'll blow a little, then draw on it bubbling the pg around a moment, blow again, repeat until all gone. This seems to get rid of almost all the flavor pretty quick, though I have also found that with some particularly lingering flavors, no matter what you do, it may take some time (hour or two) before any last hint of it is gone.
Another perhaps better way I have done is a short PGA soak of the atty, followed by the PG flush above. I don't do this much though as my PGA supply is very limited. (If anyone knows a good source of this, do let me know!)

When I'm doing serious DIY I use a 401 atty and dip it in a contact lens case. One side has a few drops of the mix I'm working on and the other side has straight VG/PG to neutralize the flavor. Once I have it where I think it should be then I drip on a LR 510, same as jynn. Payday I'm going to buy a couple of LR306 attys and use the dip method for taste testing with those. :)
