Oh no! I can't like that post, GummyI hope that you are able to get things back to normal quickly and that everyone is okay.
And it would be nice if Gummy Bear could get back to normal quickly.
Bwahahaha ... no chance!

Hiya techno and thank you for the recipe!
Nursie T, I was seriously going to go out and mow today. Really!
But my wife wanted to take our dog Chance to the Vet so she could spend a whole bunch of money. She loves to spend a whole bunch of money.
But first, Chance had to be bathed and by the time we got him out from behind the headboard of the bed when he ran to hide when he learned he was getting a bath it was already getting late in the morning. And the rascal had to hide there and my wife saw all my vaping gear back there and now she knows where I hide. I have to find a new hiding pace.
The strange thing is that Chance loves to get a bath. Really! He just has to play this little game first.
So we got him cleaned up and then I had to get my wife cleaned up. Now that is a real job and a half. I mean just scrubbing her big old back is a thirty minute job. I wish Sdh had been here because she likes to stick her hands in ... never mind.
So anyhow, I eventually got her cleaned up and dressed. Chance jumped right in the back seat of the truck but I had a heck of a time getting my wife loaded in the bed of the truck. And by the time I got her in there I was already all hot and sweaty and not for the reasons you might think.
So we went to the Vet and spent a whole lot of money and came home and I took a great big old Pokey nap. The last time I saw Chance he was chasing that barn cat around the house. That cat ought to know to stay at the barn. Dumb cat. I think it was eating Chance's food while we were gone.
So I never did mow and in fact, never did much of anything. But that's okay.
All I have is time!
And I love it!

Hey Salem! How are you feeling today?
Hmmm..... I think that I am on the mend but, I am having a hard time taking deep breaths. It is painful. Hopefully, I am healing and this is just part of the process. Still having a little trouble with the ear infection if you can believe it. Good garsh, this stuff has set up shop lol
No fever for a few days though and I do believe that I am on the mend![]()

Hmmm. Do you think you strained a muscle with all of the coughing? That could cause pain. Hopefully that is all it is. Are you still on antibiotics?

That might be what it is. As I recall there are no nerve endings in the lungs ...
But straining a chest or rib area muscle can really be bothersome.

No muscle strain. I can actually feel the pain in my entire lung when I try and take really deep breaths. I am on a Mycin type antibiotic through Thursday and Friday I go back for more xrays.

My other concern was pleuritis, an inflammation of the pleural membranes surrounding the lungs. Could be caused by pneumonia, I think.

I could be wrong on what I wrote about no nerve endings in the lungs ... that was 50 years ago when I read that and lungs have changed a lot since then.
TT
Yeah, I think its probably a better chance of pleuritis ... that's what it sounds like. And salem, Nursie T is right, you really need to talk to your doctor about this.
TT
That is true but you know what? DH had viral pnuemonia, was on a vent, etc. He has a lot of scar tissue in his lungs and to this day it is painful for him to take deep breaths. Docs all said same thing. No nerve endings there. But, the pain is nowhere near as bad as it was, it is still there if he breathes deeply.
Well, I'm only a Dr from an Internet Medical School .... humm .... you know I wonder ... if the scar tissue were deep enough it might be reaching areas where there are nerve endings. That poor husband of yours. The guy has had more than his share!
