Sure hope Gummy Bear was able to get his electrical problems fixed up, but you know, being a lightening strike it could have fried a lot of things in his wiring and appliances. I hope it didn't.
TT

Back on a borrowed computer.
TT is right a lot of electronic stuff fried.
I got the electricity back on yesterday. and found a phone in the closet so we do have One phone now.
My computer took a hit. it burned out the ethernet port and my new high dollar graphics monitor. A tech is coming tomorrow to fix the port but I don't think he will touch the monitor because he is being paid by Bright house to get it back on line.

The big stuff is OK,,, the well, the House, washer dryer refrig, freezer. Didn't loose the fish it's such a large tank they can go for days without air or filters(125 gal).

The A/C is still out but is being covered under warranty (just got to wait for the blower motor to come in from the west coast. And Damn it gets hot in here when it's raining and I have to close the windows.

I have to think it could have been a lot worse. I am sooooo glad it didn't burn the house down. I can buy some new electronics (one day) but what is damaged is not worth turning in to the insurance co. They would send a check in a heartbeat, then cancel the coverage. (been there done that).

And that is horrible that anyone has to be afraid to use their insurance because they might lose it!!!!

You are so right, Gummy. I used to work at a disaster restoration company and I saw so many houses completely gutted from fires started bt lightning. Dryer vents being clogged with lint are another major cause. It is good that nobody was harmed and that you still have a home. The other stuff can all be replaced :)

Thanks everyone! I guess melissa was right. LOL!!!

Timothy, where the heck have you been? We've been missing you buddy! You're welcome to throw out some phony explanation although I most likely won't believe a word of it ... unless you've been in jail and in that case I'd just have to say that makes you an Honorary East Texan!

Join us more often Timothy!

And everyone, you all know there is another VJ site at Vapor Junction Forums and your welcome to join me there too.
