I bought the TF-RDTA to upgrade my TF-RTA G4 tank. It had a burnt taste after a few days of using it (100 watts or below) I have had it about a week or two, I noticed whilst dry firing (pulsing) my coils to clean them that the insulation underneath one of the posts has melted and warped lifting one of the posts up and now it keeps shorting out. Has anyone else had this problem? I spoke to the online shop I ordered it from and they said its accidental damage and cannot help with the matter. I have seen people on YT etc blasting out 200watts with it so not entirely sure what could of caused my insulation to melt and warp.
Info:
coils came and was firing at .37 I had to adjust and tighten the coils my self.
Max wattage I have used was 120 (my G4 wattage). Was trying it.
I was drying/cleaning the coils outside the house after a warm clean in a bowl and I could not understand why water/liquid was still on the post. Turned out the insulation was bubbling.
I have never removed the coils from the base.
Where could I purchase just the inside disk with the coils/posts?
