Melted rba insulator

Went to swap wicks on my subtank plus rba like i normally do. Burnt the gunk off the coil and noticed the insulator was melting.... bot sure if it's a combination of the lemonade juice and coil or just the coil. It's a twisted 26g @.4. In the year and a half I have been rebuilding I have never seen this.

If you get too carried away dry burning your coil you will melt the insulator. The juice used should not be a factor in this issue.

there were problems with the original subtank then they issued replacement "PEEK" insulators; I actually have a subtank plus on the way; I don't vape high power but gee, can't tthey get the insulator right; maybe in 5 years we'll see ceramic insulators finally

What type of Watts was your Mod set to when you were Doing the Dry Burning?

You really don't Need to get the Coil Very Hot to burn off the Built Up Gunk.

I would suggest turning you Mod down to around 7 watts or so when you Dry Burn. It is Easier on Insulators.
