Great!! The people at the vape shop told me that the STC2 would not work in temp control. I just ordered tw0 packs of these so I thank you for your response:)
lol - the folks at the vape shop may need to do some homework (or join this forum) - the Sig 213 will do SS TC as well as TC on Ni, Ti - personally, I find SS wire has a much cleaner taste and better performance overall in TC or in power modes

just remember to prime em well - and when you start using them, start at lower wattage/ temp, and work your way up to 'break them in' - also, AlienTraveler's point is spot on - when you first install the coil, lock the resistance on the mod

you can do this! :)
 
In another thread it was mentioned that your mod needs to have resistance locked. Do you use this feature?
Resistance should be locked when tank is at room temperature, not used for a while.

Strictly speaking, it's not the coil that senses the temperature, it's the mod.

What happens is that as the coil heats up, the resistance increases and by knowing what metal the coil is made of, and how much the resistance has changed, the mod calculates what temperature the coil roughly is. ;)
