Hi Everyone,
I've just received my first DIY package from RTS Vapes. It took a while to get here but I think that had more to do with fourth of July weekend than anything. I received a couple wrong flavors and they are sending out replacements ASAP, no questions asked. Great company that I've heard many good things about. I've also read that they sell some of the cleanest nicotine in terms of flavor. Anyhoo, I'd highly recommend them as a place to shop. Good prices, good service.

So, I have a question. All of my flavors are made by The Flavor Apprentice. I'm planning on mixing everything singly at 5% concentrate (unless I hear otherwise) Does that seem about right? I'm new to DIY and understand this is the best way to start. Here is my list of juices I received:
Pina Colada
Pear
Coconut
Cinnamon
Bavarian Cream
Dulce de Leche
Hazelnut
Coffee
Dragonfruit
Rose Candy
Violet Candy
Jamaican Rum
Strawberry
Caramel
Butterscotch
Chai Tea
Peach
Green Tea
Creme de Menthe
Irish Cream
Mango
Chocolate
Toasted Almond
Waffle

I probably won't attempt to mix them all at once:) Again, any advice will be most appreciated!
Dawn

I am a big fan of RTS myself. I have also always received excellent customer service from them and I have been buying from them for about 1 year :)

I think that starting at 5% and going up from there would be a great way to test your new flavors. I find that TFA flavors are all over the place as far as what % I like them at. Start low and add more until you reach the flavor that suits your tastes. Just remember to make notes along the way. I always try new flavors individually in order to get a feel for them before mixing with other flavors.

Good luck!

ETA- Remember that more is not always better. Some of these flavors are not good at all above 10% but excellent below IMO It will be all about what works best for you.

You might want to bump up the fruits at a 10% starting point. I use TFA Juicy Peach and strawberry at 15% but, as we all know, taste is very subjective. Start with small batches until you see what you like. Sometimes it's a PITA to mix those small sizes but it's the only way for you to get a feel of whether or not you like the flavor and how strong you want it. It also keeps you from wasting your nic base. Start with single flavors before jumping into a gourmet frenzy. :) Have fun and don't get discouraged if your first few batches aren't what you thought they'd be. Oh, a drop of vinegar per 5ml of juice helps stabilize your juice. You can also use lemon juice but I never had much luck with it. Vinegar works great for everything IMO. Good luck!

RTS Vapes is my goto vendor for just about everything. Their Peach is really good at about 8%. The honey is awful. The apple, not the candy flavor is real good, and I use it to make a apple tobacco that a friend of mine seems to always want. I would like to know from you how that Green Tea turns out for you.

Thanks Everyone for great advice! I've been reading up on threads about DIY mixing but hadn't quite understood the adding the vinegar part. So more information would be great about what "stabalizing" means.
Of course, since I ordered work became so busy that I've been working overtime and can't get around to mixing anything up;( I hate when I get a fun new something to do and work takes away all of my fun:)
I'll definitely report back on the green tea. A couple ejuice vendors do a peach green tea and it has got good reviews. I'm going to mix each individually and then may mix those concoctions together.
I'll let you all know how I progress and will probably have many more questions.
Thanks again,
Dawn
