Does anyone use this? If so, at what percentage? It overpowers EVERYTHING I try to mix it with.

Heres my last attempt:

TFA Blueberry Wild 9%
TFA Blueberry (Extra) 9%
TFA Honey Dew 1%
EM (10%) 1%

I was going for strait up blueberry with just a hint of honey dew, but it tastes like strait up honey dew. I can't even detect the blueberry.

I do, but I use it by itself at (I believe) 10% plus 3% TFA Menthol. Not an ADV by any means but it is pretty freakin good. Might sound awful, and I kind of assumed it would be when I made it, but I absolutely love it.

Also, I echo what disco said in that your Blueberry percentages are too high. In my experience if you're going to mix TFA blueberry extra and wild in the same blend, you'd want to cut your percentages for both in half, and at that, they'd pretty much cancel each other out when used at the same percentage. Depends on what you're going for, but maybe try Wild at 6% and Extra at 3 or 4%.

If you want to add something else to offset the blueberry overload that's sure to ensue you could try Raspberry, Blackberry, or another complimentary flavor at .5 to 1%.

Just my $.02...

Agree with "too much flavor kills flavor" - so that may be part of the problem

Another possibility - the EM. EM crucifies flavors (deadens them flat), so it may be killing the Blueberry but not affecting the Honeydew so much.

If I were going to make a blueberry vape with a hint of honeydew, I'd start with:

Blueberry Wild 3%
Blueberry Extra 3%
Bilberry FA 1% (if not using, add .5% to the two above)
Honey Dew .5%

After I'd done whatever steeping/testing I normally do, I'd then decide if it needed EM (EM "thickens", "smooths off rough edges" and smothers flavor at anything much above .3%-.5%). It does not "sweeten" (unless it's sweeter than the flavors used). And EM is not sweeter than any of those flavors (by a long shot).

Just my:2c:

Thanks everyone. My previous mix was at 5%, 4%, 1%, and 1% respectively. I honestly couldn't tell a difference when I upped the blueberry. I'll try again and leave out the EM. Maybe that's the culprit.

I'd bet that it is. EM is potent stuff as well, and if I use it (which is rare), it's typically 2 drops per 5ml. Anything more (IMO) and you're covering up what could otherwise be an awesome mix by itself.

Cool. I'll lose the EM all together and drop the Honey Dew down to .25% and go up from there.
