TFA/TPA Apple Pie?

Hey everyone! I'm new to DIY, and I've ordered all the basic materials from Wizard Labs, including a number of flavors from TFA. I started out by trying a basic mix of 5% Apple Pie, 2% Cinnamon Extra, and 3% Maple. I mixed it at 50/50 with 5mg nic. I shook it for awhile and tried it. It tasted terrible. I figured I might just need to let it steep, so I did. After a week, I tried it again. It didn't taste much better. I tried each flavor individually, and it turned out that the TFA apple pie was the flavor making it taste bad. I mixed a 10%, and 3% batch with just the Apple pie, and let them steep. They both tasted bad. It doesn't taste burnt or anything like that. It's just not pleasant to vape. It smells quite yummy, though.
Does anyone have experience with TFA's Apple Pie? I've read good things about it. Am i doing something wrong?
Anyhow, any constructive opinions/comments are appreciated! Thanks!

Yes. I ordered the Apple Pie (TFA), hoping not to have to mix all the flavors for a juice. I found it has a "tobacco-like" flavor. It is definitely not an apple pie flavor. It is, however, the only flavoring I have gotten from TFA that doesn't live up to its name. Could be. I mixed it too strong or something, but it doesn't work for me.

I am working on a flavor using TFA Apple pie. It is not finished but shows promise. Keep in mind I use flavors at a lower percentage than most, so you might need to bump the %'s up a little/some. Maybe you can tweak it to make something that works for you:

Dutch Apple Surprise (All TFA Flavors)

Apple Pie 5%
Apple 1%
Dulche De Leche 1%
Cinnamon Danish 1%
Pear 1%
Menthol (10%) 2.5%

This is decent to me but not done yet, needs adjusting. Hope this helps you.

Hmm, that's too bad. I always liked TFA's Apple Pie. My suggestion might be to try a different supplier's version, i.e. Capella, Decadent Vapours. I have a bottle from TFA, and DV sitting in front me. Of the two, I prefer DV's, though it's weaker in strength, but it seems to be much smoother in flavor. I've never tried Capella's version.

Don't spend too much time trying to make a flavor you don't like into something you do. Chances are, you'll just get frustrated (though not always!) It sounds like you've tried many things thus far, and while I never like to discourage further experimentation, perhaps it's time to move on to a different supplier and see if that helps?
