not sure what settings to use with what coils. i've always had cheap little stick batteries and cheap tanks. got real tired of sucking for 10 sec. for a mouthful of smoke and not getting it, having the tank and battery get hot and just totally unsatisfied (impatient). so, i thought i'd kinda go big. I AM NOT A CLOUD CHASER. have no desire for that. i'm an ex smoker. got 50/50 juice. i've got the tfq4 coil in right now. with the setting on 'power' and .15ohms. the thing is, the bottom of the tank gets hot, there is no smoke (not clouds) and...i don't know, something isn't right. i guess i have big boy toys wearing little girl panties! can anybody help? oh! also have clp2 coils.

Welcome! Well, I guess I am wearing "little boy panties" because I know how you feel :w00t: .... I would need a little more DETAILED info from you on EXACTLY what is occuring ........ However, if you are NOT a cloud chaser and looking for just a decent smoke (vape) that produces a good quantity/quality of vapor, then you should probably increase your coil resistance........... Of course that is only a guess and I can't be of more help until you provide details on what type of mod you are using etc.... Your particular tank need a fairly hefty mod to drive it.

EDIT: Oops, I noticed the mod you have and that should have plenty enough power to drive your tank.

    Welcome and glad you joined.
Your may be vaping advanced vape equipment which may be designed for direct lung (DL) inhale. Might want to attempt non sub ohm'g, MTL and then work upward. 0.15 ohm's is approaching a dangerous area.

the mx says it does as low as .05ohm. not quite sure how to change it to more than .15ohm. the 18650 battery i'm using is an imren 3200mah,max 40a 3.7v. I WAS DOING IT WRONG. i tried the direct to lung and now i need to go outside to vape. still...NOT A CLOUD CHASER! but i do see the point! can't wait to get some decent juice while i read up on the links above. thank ya'll so much!

The only way to change the resistance is to change the replaceable head inside the 'tank' to one with a different resistance. There are various tfv4 replacement heads available, you'll have to try a few to find which works best for you.

The imren battery you're using is a low quality rewrapped falsely labeled cell, one version is 17a CDR, the other is 10a CDR, it is insufficient to use in a power device capable of 90w using a single cell. They can & frequently do change what cell is used underneath.

Best to stick with reputable name brand cells bought only from reputable vendors.

    For up to 50w - 60w per cell you need at least a quality cell such as;

    LGhg2 3000mah 18ish a CDR.
    Samsung 30q 3000mah 20a CDR.
    Sony vtc 6 3000mah 19ish a CDR.

    For 60w - 75w per cell.
    Sony vtc 5A (must be A) 2500mah 25a CDR
    LG Hd2 2000 mah 25a CDR
    LG Hd2c 2100 mah 25a CDR
    LG Hd4 2100 mah 25a CDR

    For 75w - 90w per cell.
    LGHB series 1500mah 30a CDR
    Sony vtc3 1500mah 30a CDR

You may not be a cloud chaser, but, the delivery device / 'tank' you have is designed for cloud production, DTL inhale & high eliquid consumption.
