TH or throat hit

What's the big deal about throat hit.? I always here people talking about it. Is just a preference thing.? Coz I don't recall my throat hurting on every drag when I was smoking cigarette. The only time my throat hurt is when I would smoke 2 packs in around 4, 5 hours.

Now I tend to just vape 50/50 0nic. But I think I will try a 6mg nic. Coz I still reach out for cig when I vape 0nic.

To me a throat hit reminds you of smoking an analog cigarette. So some people want that throat hit. When I vape I want to get that hit.

Others have different reasons.
I know when I would smoke an analog cigarette I would get a big throat hit. So when I switched to vaping I wanted that same hit. This way I am telling my self that I am still smoking even though I am not.

Does that make sense?

I don't like that some web shops won't report if a liquid has throat hit or not.
I once ordered a watermelon flavoured one that had throat hit, and I really didn't like that, even though I was into the flavour.

Hmm.. I guess it differs from person to person. Because all the analog cigs I used just goes down smooth. With that said. The first time I vaped my thoughts were the flavor is great. (Especially that I knew there were many to choose from) but how can I vape it if its harsh on my throat? Haha.. but then the vape shop helped me by letting me try the 0nic. Then that was it. I'm hooked. Haha..

I understand that and I am with you. I only want that hit after not have a cigarette for a couple of hours, or after I eat or once I get up in the morning. That's why I have a stronger nicotine level for when I wake up. During the day I vape on a much lower nicotine level. I hope at some point I will not want that throat hit but for now I crave it.

Not everyone wants that hit. different people want different strokes.

Nicotine level as well as the juice mixture work in combination to give you the TH. PG gives more of the TH than VG.

Actually, I first heard the term "throat hit" while watching some youtube vids when I was still researching e-cigs. I went outside and smoked a cigarette to figure out what they were talking about. I had not really noticed there was such a feeling until I "looked" for it then.

It doesn't really "hurt". It's more like a light burning sensation in your throat - or like hot air hitting the back of your throat. I always thought I liked the feeling of smoke going into my lungs (yeah, I know...sick) but now I think the "throat hit" was a big part of it.

Interesting. Now I feel like going out to see if there was such a thing.. coz I really don't remember. Haha.. but nah.. forget that. I don't wana waste my money on that anymore.

I've been rolling my own for a few years now, and without the throat hit, I don't think that I would have made the switch. It just wouldn't feel authentic.
