Nic here with my first post. Pretty new to the vaping scene, but after being a smoker for 10 years, I'm 3 weeks analog free and very happy to be rid of a habit that came close to killing me.
Like most vaporists I know, I started on crappy convenience store brand e-cigs to try and stem the habit of smoking actual cigarettes. To no prevail it was back to my 2 pack a day habit (not to mention I was a pipe tobacco enthusiast). It wasn't until a trip to the doctor led me to find out that the canker sore I had on my tounge was something known as leukoplakia, a formation of VERY inflamed blisters on the tounge that is a pre-curser to oral cancer.
Needless to say the next day I was still trying to wrap my head around not being able to have a cigarette. The doctor had advised me to look into electronic smoking for my nicotine delivery as a safer alternative. That was 4 weeks ago and exactly 3 weeks today I will have not touched a single analog (nor, tobacco pipe or cigar, or hookah). I hope my passion for vaping only continues and I'm happy to be a part of the ECF family (once the adoption papers go through).
