First off, my name is Bill.

I have read many posts on this forum which helped me start my journey into vaping. I previously had smoked analogs for 29 years. I have tried to quit before cold turkey, and have tried to quit using nicotine replacement patches previously without any success.

I smoked outside, so my family didn't have to live with the smell of analogs. The weather and its inconveniences, were just a part of life to me. I didn't even own an ashtray, because I never smoked indoors.

Analogs were not chemical friendly to begin with, however when recently added fire ......ants were added to them a lot changed for me. My normal brand of analogs changed to a harsher flavor and I started to routinely cough after smoking which had never happened before. You could taste and feel the difference. I started to seek alternatives, and found ECF with some wonderful results.

I smoked my last analog on 11/3/2010. I haven't had one complaint about vaping from my family. I would definitely vape outdoors if desired or needed, but it hasn't been necessary. I still have the urge to go outside to vape sometimes to be honest even when it makes little sense, as old habits are hard to break.

My old smoking habit was costing me around $165.00 a month, and on average, I have spent about half of that over the last 4 months. I have been recovering from analog abuse, and physically feel much better than I did before.

I have mixed feelings about vaping in public places, as I haven't smoked in them for years. I didn't smoke for other peoples entertainment, and I don't really feel the need to vape for them either. That being said, it is extremely nice to be able to relax in my chair, couch, or even bed and vape at my leisure. I really love my family, they have been very supportive, and are the best.

ECF is simply awesome, and has helped me change my life for the better. I thought it was going to be hard to quit smoking analogs, and today I don't miss them at all.

Congrats. ECF really is awesome. I did hardcore research on vaping for about 5 days before taking the plunge. I couldn't be happier. My wife and mother agree its one of the best things I've done for myself in years. I see you're in Bensalem. I'm in Norristown but have lots of friends in Langhorne/Bensalem/Levittown area so Im over that way often. Stop by the Happy Hour Tavern on Veteran's Hwy almost any Saturday night and you'll find me vaping away.... lol.

Congrats to you!!! Yea!!! I am quite new to vaping. I can totally relate to wanting to go outside to vape. As a matter of fact my rommate and I were just talking about it last night...LOL Like you said it is just one of those old habits. I do have to say though, when it started raining, it sure was nice to be indoors where it was nice and warm :) I am learning to really enjoy those times the most, when I can just cuddle up under the covers and not have to worry about a cold open door or trying to ash into a nasty stinky ashtray.

Congrats Bill! Welcome!

I noticed the same thing with the flame ......ant. In fact, I was peeved that it was used because you had to puff on the cigarette much more frequently to keep the dang thing lit. I always thought it was less about the fire risk and more about cementing the addiction/profits.

I used to smoke outside too. It's much more fun being indoors or around friends now. No more disruptions due to my habit. That and I'm pretty sure my friends appreciate all the cooking I've been doing since I've been exploring my refurbished sense of taste/smell. :p
