Doubt any of you remember me, but I was here back in October asking a million and one newb questions (going back and reading it I realize I was a super newb lol). I just wanted to say thanks to all the people who posted their advice for getting me started! It's been 3 weeks now since I started vaping and about 2 1/2 since my last full analog, and I'm loving every second of it. I went with the eGo-C passthru starter kit setup to start only using the carts that came with it, until today that is. Just got my first mini nova in the mail, excitedly filled it up with a mixture of Mango and Conundrum juice from Backwoods Brew and immediately transported to HEAVEN! The draw off the nova mini is incredible, giving the perfect amount of flavor and TH. With the carts I didn't feel as though I was getting the full flavor experience 100% of the time. Sometimes I even wondered if I was getting any vapor at all until I exhaled. As I type this, I'm playing around with the nova and can still taste the juice on the back of my throat, something I never experienced with the carts. I may be in mechanical love right now. My ONLY complaint, is the nova mini tank doesn't go quite right with my eGo-C battery so it looks a little goofy. But that's my only complaint. I know quite a few people here already use the novas, but anyone who doesn't, do yourselves a favor and make the switch. The experience is so much better now than I could have ever imagined. Also, I just want to brag on Backwoods Brew for having some incredible tasting juice available. So far my personal favorite is Waffle. Yes, Waffle. It tastes exactly like waffles. The syrup, the butter, that light waffle taste. Sadly I ran out a few days ago and decided to continue to experiment with their other flavors and am currently waiting on their Caramel Cappuccino to arrive in the mail. I could continue ranting all night long, but I'll stop now. Just wanted to share my new love for vaping and thank everyone who fed me information so I could better understand what I was doing before I got started. It's only been 3 weeks, but until they invent waffle flavored cigarettes I don't think I'll ever go back. Thank you ECF, Backwoods Brew, and Vision for finally giving me a way to break away from that awful nasty habit! :)

Now, two more newb questions lol. First, I'm already thinking about replacing my battery since the nova mini makes it look goofy. Does anyone have any recommendations for a new one that goes well with the nova minis? {edit}

Awesome post, i feel the same way about this community and am very grateful for all the knowledge they provide constantly. For your battery, I'd upgrade to a Vision Spinner VV (variable voltage) 1300mah. Exact same diameter as the mini nova and you can even buy a little sleeve to smooth out the tank-to-battery transition on your device. Will last literally all day if youre not downing 10ML a day, and charges in an hour or so from my experience. As for your second question, no idea lol.

We're glad we were able to help you in your vaping journey!

However, I've edited your post for a remark at the end. Please keep in mind the following:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-forum-rules/51178-forum-rules.html

28. Electronic cigarette definition
e. Members may not discuss non-legal non-consumer drugs or equipment and neither may registered vendors sell products for consumption of materials other than regular e-cigarette refills.

Sorry sonic, wasn't aware. Technically my second question wasn't about anything illegal though. {edit} but it's all good. Won't mention it again here. @Aheadatime, thanks for the recommendation. I looked up the Vision Spinner and like the look of it, think it'll be a good upgrade. What's the benefits of going with the variable voltage though?

The voltage basically (to my understanding/experience) determines how much heat goes into 'vaping' your ejuice. Its nice to be able to change the voltage because thicker liquids may require higher voltage, whereas lighter more delicate flavors might benefit from a lower voltage vape. It also dictates battery life, so keeping it low in tight situations might give an increased battery lifespan. I change mine up from vape to vape, can't stop messing with it. I usually hover between 3.8 and 4.3, but sometimes dip lower than that for a more constant vaping situation.

Edit- I've also found it useful to crank up the voltage a bit to the 4.0 range in order to 'show off' to friends who are interested. This gives really fat clouds of vapor and from what I can tell, gets the aroma out in the room quickly. Ive already converted 2 cig friends to ecigs, so I like to believe my little tactics payed off :D

I understand yetihwffe, just wanted to make sure you understand the rules. Even something like that doesn't fit the policy here at ECF. Thanks!

Ah, that does sound beneficial. Will definitely be looking into upgrading to that in the near future. Something else I can add to my list of reasons why I love this forum, I always learn something new! :D

:D Rock on man. They're cheap too, like 20-25$. I'm puffing on a 900mah VV as i type this, waiting for my 1300mah in the mail :D

I'm glad I can justify my new insane spending habits with my wife though as I can already hear the questions of "You just got that one, why do you need another one?!" "But...but...but, it's healthier and I'm doing this for the baby!" Haven't be able to put my kit down since putting the nova on there. Love the passthru though as I can vape while it's charging. Is there a comparable version of the 1300mah VV in a passthru setup that you know of? I'm currently a heavy vaper and like having the option of charging it at work while still "doing paperwork" with a nice vape. I doubt with a battery that size I'll need to worry about that, but having that option would be nice.

    If you want to clean up the look for using a vivi nova on an ego type battery you can get one of these. They're out of stock at this place but they'll probably be back soon. If not I'm sure you can find one somewhere else. I find myself putting it on every time I use my vivi.

    You, sir, are a freakin wizard. That's exactly the kind of thing I was hoping to see! I'll still be getting the new battery, but in the meantime this is exactly what I want. Thank you!
