I just wanted to take the time to THANK all the modders that have given me inspiration and works to follow as i move away from analog cigarettes
and into the digital age.

After a less then optimal beginning with a rebranded loong totem, i immediately moved into the realm of modding. :D i made a battery box pass through and loved the vape at 4.5-5 volts.

This past weekend I completed my first Magnum and wow. I dont even think about analog cigs anymore. Thank you all so much for the time you put into these forums and for your contributions here !

On a side note, i have been curious about Capacitors and their use as an alternative power source to a pattery pack.

What dangers are associated with high capacatence(sp?) capacitors ? Any reason this concept shouldn't be pursued ? I have on my desk half a dozen "super capacitors" all around 20-22f each. Whats to stop me from making them into a power pack for an ecig ?

Big explosions.

At least, that's what the bit-heads told me when I brought up the idea of using supercapacitors. The whole "touch the leads with a screwdriver, and the thing vaporizes" scared me off from using them in something that's inches away from my face. There may well be a safe way to use them, but I'm not going to be the one who investigates and finds out.

Aside from the inherent dangers from these, there is nothing stopping you. I have been pondering this for a few days and may order some Ultra Capacitors this weekend. If nothing else it should be fun to try.
