This is concerning this is concerning to say the least. Procyion ti 179. Crazy. P3 black 99. Crazy prices I hope it's not them going out of business but with only 2 Procyon choices I'am weary. I would love to hear from #provape. So I can stock up if need be.

You probably won't.

Stock up.

I second that emotion. Pray for best, prepare for the worst. I mean, even if the predicate date changes (ProVape said that's what it will take) and ProVape stays in business, you'll still have many of the best mods on the planet that can be repaired if needs be. If they do jump ship, you'll have the best mods that will last longer than anything else on the market. Pay now (at rock bottom prices), vape later.

I did. I didn't want to drop a bunch of $$$ on parts I might not need, but I love my 11 Provaris!

I am very concerned as they are obviously cleaning off the shelves...

Better to have and not need than not have and need...

I WILL need springs, so I figured why not grab a bunch of end caps? Most were $2 and include a spring! I ordered 12 or 14 total for my P3, Classic and 2.5 mods. I haven't changed a spring in over a year....

My wife loves zombies and skulls so I grabbed a few of each for $2 each. I am hoping the performance end caps last a long time in my P3/classics...

I've actually never changed a spring.
Will all my mods, both regulated and mechanical, I'm not even sure how to know a spring needs changing. Obviously, excepting when it no longer makes a battery make proper contact.
What's the answer?

Me neither, and with as many dayum end caps as I have, I'm pretty sure it would defy Einstein's Theory if I ever needed to change one now.

They stretch and warp and the silver coating wears off. Other than getting deformed or having a worn coating, I honestly have no clue.

Some will say "when you notice a drop in performance" but I have no idea beyond the above what things spring related could cause this...

Maybe some obsessive spring hoarders can chime in.... @coldgin96 maybe? :)

IDK either. I have like 30+ springs for the 2s, another 30+ for the P3s. Yet... I've never had to change a spring in any of 'em. On top of that, while I've never had a 2.(X) fail, out of the 6 P3s that I had in rotation (now down to 2, the rest are in storage + never used P3s which I just purchased to stockpile, tested, yup they work, re-packed), 4 of them have gone back to ProVape due to hardware failures.

Official ProVari 3 Thread - P3 *PART 2*

None of 'em were failures that a spring is gonna fix, they required circuit-board swaps due to component failures.

The P3 Ti is one of my top 5 favorite mods of all time. But... my faith that it will Just Work for years and years and years, like the 2s did, is not that high. At least not based upon my own personal experience.

Other than component failures (which aren't that rare on the P3, at least not mine), the top cap and the "self-adjusting center pin" which seems to mostly just be an O-ring, also fails. I've sent 'em back to get it replaced/fixed, and am unsure if this something that you could DIY by just buying another O-ring or not. The 2s with their fixed-pin and slanted top caps were much less sexy looking/cool, but none of them ever failed.

This is in no way meant to dis ProVape's quality; it's exceptional, so is their customer service; but if I have 3 P3s... I, personally, would be happy if they last 5 years between all of 'em. I do not think they have years and years and years of trouble-free life in their future, if ProVape's service department ceases to exist. And I do not think a spring is gonna save me (although, if I didn't have the springs, then there's a 100% chance that's what would fail ;-)
