I was about to give up on the vaporing earlier this week, but thanks to all of the helpful info on this site. I had my learning curve take a sharp turn into success. I started with a Q-pack and bought a quickly disapointing EGO T, and several atomizers, and a few failed carto tanks.

Tuesday, after about 2.5 days of smoking filter material from cartos and drinking hot juice from the tip, I had bought real smokes and was smoking them like I was ready to relapse full throttle butts.

After many hours of reading posts, several wasted cartos, and many a cursing and swearing rampage, I was able to get my PV to work how it seemed to work at the beginning. Now I understand the grove it has to be in to work. I actually stopped by the B&M store and bought some lime drop, rasberry ice, and caramel maccachito liquid to enhance my experience. I have cartos dedicated to each flavor so as not to mix any of the niceties that are inherent to specific flavors. My DCT is actually working like a champ, bubbling away with every hit, filled with my (for now) favorite flavor... still a tobacco flav.

I cant express enough my thanks for the kind support from the ECF members. Total strangers that wanted to help me kick a 2 pack a day habit. That is a great vote in my mind for humanity. Im hoping for happy vaporing for a long while, maybe I can help someone else along the way.

BTW. I got a wiff a heavy smoker for the first itme today in the B&M store. YUCK... he was wanting to change too. I hope he finds vaporing to be a nice alternative as well. I cant beleive I could smell like that :(

Now... if I could only get my girlfirend to switch:mad:

Its kind of like feeding your addiction wit
Congratulations on quitting and finding a good vape :) I too had information-overload at first and almost gave up on e-cigs. It is so worth it to stick with it. I'm still learning but am no longer smoking after a 35+ year habit. It wouldn't have been possible for me without the great folks at ECF. Cheers.

It is kind of like feeding your addiciton with a hobby. Im kind of mechanical so i like messing with the electronics.

Congrats VA !!!

All that free advice wasn't exactly free, we want you to stick around here, read
more, gain experience and help the next noobs coming along...:)
ECF is nice because we may have quit smoking, but we're not having nic fits,
depression, anxiety, weight gain, etc.....all the normal reactions...:)

I'm glad everything worked out for you. I had some frustrating moments similar to yours. A few people here guided me through some issues and I haven't had an analog since the day I started vaping a month and a half ago.

My husband is a very light smoker. Maybe three cigarettes a week. He loves the fact that I quit but isn't crazy about me asking him to take a shower before he climbs into bed. The smoke smell makes me nauseous. Can't believe I smelled like that for so long.

Happy vaping and good luck with your journey!!

Definitely a steep learning curve.

But once you get the hang of it, find a few flavors you like it gets much easier.

Won't be long before the taste of a cig gets nasty too. I have tried one or two along the way and they aren't nearly as satisfying. But then I had bought a carton not knowing if these things would work at all. Had a hard time finishing that last carton. Usually they were for the cravings but have since learned to just use a higher nicotine level liquid for those occasions.

I haven't gotten to the point where the smell of analogs bothers me. Hope I don't ever sound like all those ex smokers I've had to deal with over my lifetime.
