As a noob vaper, I have to thank everyone for all the important information that can be found here at ECF. I've done hours of reading and am light years ahead of where I would be if left on my own. I'm hoping to kick a 45 year, pack a day habit and am so well on my way that if the best I can do is stay with my current level of 3-5 analogs at the cocktail hour I'll consider it all a success.

I'm fine with my 510's. Changed out the cartridge filler yesterday with a buf puf mod and am thrilled with it. When I first started vaping about 3 months ago I was all tobacco flavor all the time but have since branched out. I've tried a couple of the popular flavors but have a question. These old taste buds barely get a hint of flavor.

I'd like suggestions on how to get serious flavor out of the juices. What do I add, if anything to kick it up? I noticed that fsusa has an "add flavor" feature. Is that just as simple as it really is?

Thanks for everything everybody. I'm just loving my newest hobby!!:)

Welcome Katie... I am so glad you found vaping, and that it works so well for you! Kicking a 45-year habit can be rough, but with these amazing little vaporizers, it is as easy as it's ever going to be.

As far as flavors go, most vendors will allow you to do "double flavor." And FSUSA allows you to "add flavor" which I assume can be a shot of the flavor you're using OR a different flavor, to make a unique combination.

510s run at a little higher temperature, so some of the flavor is lost in the heat. Double flavor helps me a ton in that respect.

Good luck to you, and happy vaping! (OH and CONGRATS!!!!)

From time to time my taste buds kind of short out on me. Just cant taste the juice. I drink lots of water, make sure to brush teeth often and fire up some Boba's or GJ in a nice atomizer. The atomizers, for me, produce much more flavor than cartos and help when I'm in the tasteless zone.

Congrats on your success in reducing analogs and welcome to the ECF.

Re LR atty etc - LR attys are not for slim batteries. If you have slim 510 you should be using 2.5 to 3 ohms. Most use cartomizers. Boge 3 ohm are used on slim 510 (and the most popular cartos for slim 510). The hotter Boge 2 ohm are most popular on the 450mah+ 510-threaded fat batteries like Ego and 510-threaded mods.

If you want more flavors out of juices
1 - try juices from different places
2 - buy high PG content like 30% or less VG and the rest PG (VG dulls hit and flavor)
3 - You can try selecting Extra Flavor however with some flavorings that can lead to a perfumey aroma and you will have to steep the juice to try to get rid of that (set it open with cap AND dropper tip off, somewhere safe from kids, pets, yourself, for hours to overnight, recap next day. may be better or may need to sit for weeks covered)

And you have to remember - Vapor Is Not Food. It is not going to taste as strong as food. And MOST of the flavor is in the aroma.

An eGo battery will let you expand into the low resistance cartomizer range. LR will kill 501 batts quickly, but the eGo can still give you hours of vaping on a charge with LR cartos. The Boge 510 LR carto will work fine for robust flavors, but might weaken light flavorings.

A variable voltage device will allow you to dial in the perfect voltage for whatever juice you are vaping. Sometimes changing the voltage from 3.4v to 3.2v or 3.0v can make a major difference.

I decided to order some true flavorings to bump up the flavor of my juices. Don't know how it is going to work yet, they are due by this weekend, but ordering double flavor may be a easier route.

I can attest to the fact that "double shots" do work for my palette much more effectively. I like a lot of flavor! I look forward to DIY! Prob save tons of money.

Have kicked the 10 year habit as well! Loving my Ego-T and never looking back at an analog! Now, only if my girlfriend would kick her habit, we could both vape together in the house!

Congrats to another new vaper. Maybe buy your GF a starter kit for her birthday?
