I did it! I competed the order and it only took HOURS to do

Even with such expert and gracious help as everyone had given me, there were still a "few" questions but I filled in most of the gaps by reading old posts and watching YouTube reviews. The SERIOUS questions will start when the order arrives! I ordered a little bit of everything but the sale made everything that much more attractive!

It's so "scatter shot" that I am absolutely assured of finding lots of goodies that I will like and many that I will probably love! Now I have to acquire patience as I wait with baited breath (or am I holding my breath because of all the smoke around me?) for the order to arrive.

Again, let me extend thanks to each and every one of you who replied to my posts! That was a subtle reassurance that I was doing the right thing for myself and that I would be surrounded by new friends here who would want me to succeed and would give me all the support and encouragement I could ever possibly need :) It took less than an hour to figure out that "you guys are the greatest!"

Drat! I just remembered that today is a federal holiday! That just tacked another 24 hours to my "wait" time! Now we'll probably have a blizzard...nope, I refuse to think that way! It will arrive...just later rather than sooner. It isn't possible to have withdrawal symptoms from something you've never tried is it? Okay, it's the "countdown to Christmas" syndrome without knowing exactly WHEN Christmas will be coming this year.

ARGH! Now I get a phone call telling me my husband may be stranded in San Francisco because ORD is holding up all incoming flights! Today *almost* sucks except they delivered my treadmill right on schedule!

Hmmmm, wonder if I could drive to where ever in NE Illinois F4L resides and throw myself on their doorstep, begging for mercy...or is that rather theatrical?? Too over the top??

Well, can't wait to post that "It's HERE!" I notice a lot of excitement from everyone when that happens!

Drat! They could probably hear me scream out my frustration! Wilmette is not that big a place...we frequently listen to one another scream because there's also not that much to do here either! So, it leaves (hopefully) tomorrow, goes to Palantine (a zillion miles away), gets processed and then...comes right back here! Genius!!

Well-maybe you could place another order to pick up.....You will not be sorry!

I agree with you...I don't think I will be sorry...have never thought I would be sorry. Somehow, for some reason, this all seems to fit! It's been quite a long time since I have seen people so supportive of one another and so willing to pick up the slack to keep the focus on a common goal. And...WHY didn't I think of that?? Truly brilliant! I wonder if it would work? Hmmmm...now I wonder how difficult it would be and would they be receptive? In any event, Christmas will arrive as it always does but oh! I have soooo many presents in that box, waiting to be opened! I really did go overboard and didn't get everything that I thought I might show a future interest in!

How exciting to be waiting on your first order! You are going to have so much fun opening that package when it arrives. I get blown away every time I open one from V4L...is like Christmas all over again!

And, as you've already discovered...the folks on this board are super...no question is to dumb to ask either. Always someone there to answer, or point to a great vid to watch, etc.!

Looking forward to reading that your package arrived!!

Yes, shiny presents...and all for ME! Interestingly, I had an email from them an hour or so ago saying my order had shipped...a sort of "Christmas miracle" since the post office was closed today...I am astounded! Do you think that makes them Santa's elves? You hit the nail on the head; it was the attitudes of the people on this board that clinched the deal as far as I was concerned. You are the kind of people I want to hang out with! Thanks for the kind welcome, Sandy. I look forward to more exchanges in the future.

Hey Kanza..have you ever been to Salina? I was there for a year or so when I was 4 and 5. dad was staioned at Smokey Mt. AFB..I think it's called Shilling now. Loved Kansas except for the dust and tornados!
O.K. now I am confused..you had said you from Kansas..now I see Il. No problem! My dad is from Metropolis (home of superman..they have a statue to prove it!) and hubby is from Moline!

Mary Kay - indeed I was born and raised in Kansas and I think I was rather "homesick" when I picked this name. It's supposedly a more accurate rendition of the tribe from whom Kansas is named. But, it still means (loosely translated) "people of the south wind," a very accurate representation of life there. Do you remember the wind? How all the trees lean to the north?

Yes, I have been to Salina and it's beautiful! You can certainly see things from miles away. I went through Salina several years ago on my way to Garden City and, by a happy trick of timing, was there for the wheat harvest. I swear, the population of that state more than doubles during the harvest and it isn't from the custom cutters but from tourists and news reporters from all over the world. I thought we would never get through the traffic! <laughing so hard> Can you envision a traffic jam in the solitude of the Kansas prairie? I couldn't until that day! By the same token, I couldn't imagine anyone fool enough to rush to see a tornado but they not only do such a stupid thing, they pay thousands of dollars a week for the "privilege!"

I've even been to Metropolis and Moline! To be honest, my mother drug me all over that state (and it is HUGE) for that event or historical monument or meeting or whatever struck her fancy as a fun thing to do on the weekend! Pow Wows, local reenactments, plays, musicals - it never mattered to her and I was happy if I had a book to read.

I was born in the Flint Hills, not far from the Oklahoma border and raised in Ottawa which is close to KC, Topeka and Lawrence. Now I live in Wilmette which, geographically speaking, should be much like Kansas and it would be, too, if it weren't for all the trees, large population centers, nearby skyscrapers and this big-a$$ed lake I live by! Yep, just like Kansas!

<laughing too hard now> I can't type, my fingers are giggling ;p Well, something's goofy over here! Sleep well, everyone, and have only the best of dreams!

The wind in Kansas doesn't hold a candle to the wind in Cheyenne! (I lived there too.) I saw grown men blown off their feet by 70 mile and hr winds. When I first moved there I taped the windows and drug everyone's lawn furniture and BBQ's into the basement (a 4 family apt,) One of the neighbors called Mike on base and told him to come home..I was acting funny. Hey! I am from Florida..75 mile an hour winds mean a hurricane! Mike just asked where the nearest ocean was.

LOL...they just might be Santa’s elves! BTW, I still look at my shiny presents and marvel...they are so pretty and what comes out of them tastes so goooood! That reminds me, I’ve got to go fill some more cartos (cartomizers in case you’re still trying to catch on to the lingo here); it felt like I was learning a foreign language when first coming on board. Took me awhile and then I discovered that placing my mouse over the dotted underlined words, like PT for instance, would tell me what it stood for. Thought that was so kewl! lol

I was a mess while waiting on mine. rotfl. Hanging around the board definitely help pass the time though; that and consistently checking USPS trackin...which got me ticked off after awhile because I didn't think my package was ever going to leave that sort center! The shipment arrived before anything changed much on the tracking info. lol

Okay, grabbing my VP and heading to the kitchen to fill cartos...want to mix peppermint with chocolate and see how that tastes! :D Did you order any juice this time? If you didn't, I encourage you to give it a try; it's really easy to refill the cartos...
