I wanted to introduce myself and thank everyone for all the great information that I've been able to find on here.

I've been reading these forums for about the last week or so. I've been smoking for about 14 years and really want to quit. I've always known I should quit, but recently I've made up mind that I want to. I'm hoping with the help of the e-cigs, I'll be able to finally kick the habit.

I ordered a DSE901 kit from E-Smokey Treats and got it last Thursday. I've been messing around with it over the weekend. I was a little concerned at first because I really didn't like the taste of it. It reminded me of smoking a cigar. I'm not going to jump to conclusions, because I'm getting over some sort of mouth virus, so nothing really tastes all that great and everything seems to burn my tongue. I was just using the prefilled cartridges but I ordered some E-juice to try out. Hopefully things will get better.

I've watched the videos and tutorials and read a lot of posts. I think this place is just what I need to get rid of the analogs (love the term) for good. Thanks again to everyone! I'm sure I'll have tons of questions! :)

Welcome stmay! Congrats on the life changing decision. Don't get discouraged by some of the flavors you try and don't like. I'm sure you'll eventually find one to your liking. There is a lot to choose from.

I switched to menthol analogs over 30 yrs ago and originally thought I would only vape a menthol liquid. Then I started trying others and found that I actually like a couple of the sweet ones.

Good luck!

Congrats, stmay . . . and welcome to the wonderful world of vaping.

As others have said, you'll eventually find flavors that you love. And if you try something you really don't like, don't throw it out. Personally, I found that after I had been vaping awhile, my tastes changed. I'm not sure whether it was because I simply started to appreciate vaping or whether it was because my taste buds changed after having been off tobacco for awhile, but I found that some flavors I really didn't like at first definitely tasted much better after I tried them again several weeks later. :)

I also think that once you start using liquids to top off your cartridges, you'll find the vaping experience far more satisfying. For me, I was never able to get much enjoyment from a cartridge after vaping about 1/2 of it . . . I need either a brand new cartridge or one that's been newly topped off. :)
