So, I just bought an Ego-S kit from Vapure yesterday, and so far I love it. Except for one thing "that Morning hit". I've smoked 1.5 PPD for... ages. But right now I need that morning hit, that occasional big nic hit. The 11mg sauce I got doesn't do it, so I'm thinking a dripping atomizer and 26mg juice might do it. this morning it took an actual burning death stick (actually about 4-5 drags and then I put it out), but i'd rather not do that anymore. The Ego works great for maintenance, I'm mildly nicfitting (like i'd switched to Ultra Lights), but that's dealable. But that initial kick isn't there.

Am I on the right track with the Ego battery, 510 dripping atomizer and the 26mg juice?

That morning "hit" or that good feeling, heated, soothing "hit" in general is the actual reason I gave up those simple eGo batteries. Look into getting a variable voltage (VV) device. They will provide that "hit" you're looking for, specially with that high nicotine dosage. Here are some recommendations:

Cheaper VV devices (but still works):
• Vision Spinner
• eGo-C Twist

More pricey:
• eVic
• Tesla
• ZMax

Very expensive:
• Provari

I certainly hope you consider a VV device to help you stay away from those death sticks. If you decide to get one of these devices, I promise you won't regret it!

Commentary: I haven't felt much of a need for that myself, but quite a few people keep stronger juices for use at times like that. The usual suspects include: Early morning, drinking, after eating, etc.

I think a dripping atty would probably do the trick for you for sure.

I also heartily recommend just getting an APV. The eGo was mostly satisfying for me, but once I got my VAMO I haven't felt the urge for a smoke again yet. I can raise and lower the voltage or wattage, providing a hotter vape when I want it.

Honestly I feel "it is in your head". I just push through it after a week or 2 you will forget about it.

(i don't know how long you have been vaping I could be way off.)

The "Hmm, I don't really need nicotine, but I should be burning a stinky death stick" part is in my head, the nicotine kick start in the AM is not yet. I'll try my plan, since I can ride by Vapure tomorrow.

Commentary: You should also remember that the addiction to smoking isn't only chemical, it's also behavioral. We get used to having that first smoke of the morning, or lighting up a smoke right before we turn on the car, or any number of other things. You may not actually need the nicotine as much, per se, but it's a formed habit.

While you're transitioning to vaping it is wise to pay attention to your habits and re-evaluate them. Start questioning if you are doing that because you want the nicotine or if it's habit that you're doing it.

Yeah the VV or VW will make a big difference in what you can get from your ecig, it's a night to day difference in available output. One really nice thing I like about my zmax, is that if I want LESS, like I do sometimes late at night after having maybe done it a bit too much, is the ability to simply turn down the wattage a bit and chill with a smaller intake amount, or crank it up if I want huge and powerful, whatever the mood may be.

I considered the VV devices, but I had a hard budget set by the Minister Of Finance (AKA The Wife). And, Honestly, the Ego is working *except* for that first cig kick. And right now I'm vaping a 50/50 split of menthol and tobacco, and it's giving a much more satisfying hit than the pure tobacco flavor. I'll see if that works this morning, and if not I have permission to spend some money on parts and such.

Most menthols will give you a more intense TH and then there are a couple that will knock you on your .... like Arctic Wolf.

Been Vapeing for over 2 months now, I have a Vamo etc.... But I still have not found the perfect first thing in the morning Vape, no biggie it goes away after about a half hour, but I still search, I've tried various liquids and strengths also devices etc. like I said this is very minor in my books, and I haven't had nor do I want an analog. I shall continue to search in any case...... Part of what I love about Vapeing is the discovery of it all. Hope u find your solution Op.

Happy Vapeing.

I feel you pain.... This morning was my first on vaping. I am using the E go kit very similar to yours. my juice is 18mg. Also like you 1.5 ppd for a very long time. I had that craving for an analog this morning along with my second cup of joe. So... I did a death stick. I don't feel like a failure, it is what it is.

Dave, I'm in *exactly* the same boat, I bought my kit at 1600 PST yesterday, had the craving with my coffee this morning, and that's been the only time I've wanted a Stinky Death Stick since then. I'm going to go buy some parts and juice tomorrow and hopefully these last two SDS's will be it.

Did you ever think everyone isn't just like you? "Just push through it" reminds me of the "quit or die" people who state you should have enough will power to just quit smoking.

To the OP: Upping your nic level to 24mg is a good idea on your part. Throat hit is 90% due to your nicotine level. If you still need more, consider moving to a PV that provides warmer vapor which enhances throat hit to a degree. Ego's have the weakest voltage battery on the market. Consider a good variable watt PV so you can adjust the warmth of the vapor.

Good Luck

its deff a mental thing.. I had the same problem for the first 30 days .. had to have my 26mg right away when I woke up.. but now I'm content with my 12mg and barely a TH..

Also used to need to vape within the first 5 min of waking up.. now maybe within the first half hour.. it's no longer a 'need' and more so a 'want'

give it some time, try the dripping method you suggested and see how that works.. but in a few months I will bet things change for you.

Let me add one to this otherwise excellent list. Between the most inexpensive and More Pricey place the Vamo which is VV and VW at a reasonable price $40-$50 depending on where you get it.
