Though I don't have any info on the continuous discharge or the pulsing discharge. What I posted here is all know about these lol. I highly doubt that I found the holy grail of vaping batteries because obviously it seems there really is none. Just a pick and chose type deal but hey it doesn't hurt to ask. Rather ask now then blow a hand off later. Just thought it was rather interesting to see a battery designed specifically for sub ohm vaping. If there legit then I might buy a couple for my mechs just to catch that fail safe even though I don't build extremely low it's just nice to have a bit of insurance. That extra layer to say "I'm okay with this."

Naah - I'd avoid - they'll just be 'rewraps' of some 1st-tier manufacturer cells.

It costs *billions* to develop the IP to design and manufacture these high-tech cells, and there are only a handful of companies that are doing it - Sony (through a 3rd party company), LG, Panasonic and Samsung.

Any of these other companies (Efest, 'SubOhmCell' etc) are just taking say an LG 20A cell and relabelling it as a '35A Acmetronic Professional Vaping Cell'.

Just stick to the known good 1st-tier originals...

EDIT - And that price! They've got to be having a laugh! It's good for them that gullible cloudbroz will buy these on the advice of the greedy retailers with their huge markups telling them that these cells are the best thing since sliced bread!

Take the wrapper off one of these $16 '35A' cells and pound to a penny, it'll be something like a $5 LG HE2 underneath.

Continuity, that'sounds kinda like what I was thinking. Just slipping it in a different brands rapper and calling it there own. I was just looking on there website and noticed that they actually sell rewraps for batteries which made me cringe a bit knowing that they are "making" their own batteries. If they got these types of things just laying around their warehouse/shop obviously they have access to them and a manufacturer for their own rewraps.

I've been doing some heavy searching for rda's and mech mods from the uk. Mainly CCC (Cloud Chasing Club)and in the process I came across these batteries and wanted to know personal opinions and etc. For example if any one has even heard of them. They thoroughly list the specs of them on their website as if they actually took time on these. I've also read that they are supposed to be better than Sony's VTC 5's.

SUBOHMCELL - Age verification

Here's the link to where I found them and also the claimer that they are better than Sony's VTC 5's.
SubOhmCell 2800 mAh Rechargeable Batteries

Though I do like how innovapes.com said they are 35 amp "rated". Lol

2800 mAh... sounds like the Efest 2800s. Perhaps a rewrap ? (sarcasm)

Yup -you got it.

And they're having a total laugh with the price - when you can get say 4xLG HE2s for $20, charging $16 for *one* of these is ludicrous.

There game is they fool people into thinking that they've developed a 'special battery for vaping' that's the best thing ever, and people wanting to blow the biggest clouds, bro, will believe them and fork over their money.

It's especially a problem with brick and mortar shops who like to talk rubbish about the 'best' batteries and sell these off-brands at *huge* markups to gullible vapers.

If they can sell LG HE2s for $5 apiece and still make a profit - just how much do you think they're making spending 3 minutes to rewrap them and sell them as SubOhmCells for $16?

Rewrapping Efests? That's like 'meta', man - 'Cellception'?

There's nothing wrong with selling battery wraps for DIY per se, as people often damage the wraps on their batteries which can be dangerous and lead to shorts, so being able to buy wraps cheaply and replace them oneself with a hair-dryer is a good thing.

You can also buy some really well-designed battery wraps if you want to make your cells look fancy, or you can buy the thin clear stuff and put your own designs underneath them.

Man it seems as though one of big manufacturers need to take the time to make a battery specially designed for vaping though. It would be nice to pick up some lg's, Sony's or Samsung's that say designed for sub ohm vaping right on the battery. That would help out with the dangerous exploding and all. I mean yeah you can do your research but it's still an awful lot for someone who just steps into it and is wamped by which battery to pick up for there shiny new mech. My one bud at work was telling me that he actually found trust fire's he was gunna buy next pay and I told him straight out that they say the word "fire" in the name for a reason. Their gunna catch you on fire but what if he actually went out and got these batteries, you know? It would be really bad man.

Continuity, I see your point about rewraps but just with how the website went about it is what made me cringe. I'd actually like to get some rewraps for my batterys but I'd use clear ones and do my best to leave the LG label on them just to stay safe. Not saying there is anything wrong with customizing though. I customize almost every mech I own in different ways to improve them. I'm just ocd on the battery's, knowing what they are and the safety side of things. I get very strict on that note.

Vaping is a really small market for these batteries, and the manufacturers don't really like us using them for that use - because of potential liability etc.

Most of these cells are used in laptop battery packs, electric cars, power tools, electric wheelchairs etc - these applications use many 18650s chained together with special charging and monitoring circuits in them. Tesla Motors has just opened a mega-factory to produce their own cells for use in their cars - maybe we'll see some of us vaping using grey-market Tesla 18650s soon.

It's not really that hard for vapers - and if you're using mechs, which are not 'beginner' devices, you should already know Ohm's Law and the basics at least of battery technology etc.

For vapers, just buy only 1st-tier manufacturer batteries, and there are plenty of charts which tell you what Amp CDR battery to use down to what resistance build.

Battery pulse ratings are useless! | E-Cigarette Forum

Disregard any advertising touting pulse ratings. It's nothing more than marketing smoke and mirrors. ALWAYS look for the continuous discharge rating and remember any claim over 30amps is a bold faced lie.

That ultra fire is horrible. That makes me sick to my stomach. I remember getting the old ego sticks back when vaping started. I had one fall apart in my hand and one of those battery's fell out but that battery is protected by a circuit board inside the ego stick preventing you from sub homing since it's such a dangerous situation from those batteries. That "fire" 18650 is completly unprotected. It's sickening.
