So the other day I was at a benefit with a couple friends of mine (both smokers). They went outside to smoke and I joined them to vape. I was vaping a blackberry from my local vapor lounge. My one friend says to me "that smells like laundry detergent, it can't be good for you!". Well, he's a cook. So I said "I'm sure you're familiar with Vegetable Glycerin" and he says yeah, then I said "and propolyne glycol, which is a main ingredient in inhalers and respirators. It's also used in ventilation systems of hospitals because it's anti bacterial. That's what's in this, plus artificial flavoring and nicotine. You're inhaling thousands of chemicals." Needless to say he didn't have much to say after that. It just gets frustrating sometimes because I've been smoke free for 3 months now and you'd think my friends would be happy for me and proud of me. Some of them are, others just stick to their "that CAN'T be good for you" mindset. Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean it's bad. I KNOW what I'm inhaling, and can name most of the ingredients. Do you think smokers can name the thousands of chemicals they're inhaling? Now don't get me wrong, this was a very good friend of mine, one of my best friends in fact. He's always there for me and would give me the shirt off his back. I just needed to vent a little bit is all. Thanks for listening!
