Are you SERIOUS ? your worried about PG ?

No, not at all. Did you read my post? :)

I was asking how, if products containing PG and bacteriostatic alcohols, like baby wipes and mouthwash, can be contaminated, with bacteria and/or viruses, why the nih pubmed article keeps being quoted with regard to vaping and lung contamination by ...whatever.

I'm just trying to get to the "science" of that.

I read the nih article and it doesn't appear to deal with vaping or ejuice, drip tips, or anything else.

Rebuilding isn't for everyone, but if you are considering it go for it! It's a great vape once you find your preferred build!

What you are inhaling is the char from your dirty coils which could happen, maybe change them more often or try a better more efficient tank / coil. The ejuice will be or become dark that is the nicotine oxidizing the flavoring, like tea but I don't notice it staining my teeth
I ate dirt to when I was a kid.

10 brands of Baby Wipes have been recalled both in canada and the US due to bacterial contamination----specifically, B. cepacia, which is a human respiratory pathogen in people with weakened immune systems or chronic lung disease.

Baby wipes contain quite a bit of PG as well as certain alcohols that are also bacteriostatic.

In the past, several states had clusters of pneumonia and other infections caused by the bacteria, which ended up being connected to contaminated mouthwash. Mouthwash has quite a lot of PG and/or alcohol in it.

I think science research articles are great, but you have to use real science when interpretting them as well. ;)

I will not attempt to comment on the inability of pathogens to stay alive in ejuice since I am not a scientist, but I think there has to be an answer somewhere.

As Steamix said, our immune systems are designed to deal with stuff......and then sometimes, they don't.

The makers of the nautilus have warnings on the boxes that say how often you should change out a coil. I would follow those recommendations.
Pg has antibacterial properties. I don't know what that has to do with baby wipes or wrongly interpretation of anything.

I remember having a batch of our clean wipes recalled back in the day when I worked in the hospital ..same deal ...I wondered how the heck that happened, it'd be like bacteria/fungus growing in a bleach solution. Then we had a fun pharmacist that'd been a chemist before hand, and he explained the % solution of whatever the "cide" was they used to keep it a bacteria/fungus killer was off on those, and they're using the lowest percent they can because it's for humans (and I'd imagine if it's for infant's behinds it's mild as well) so too low a percentage and you can get growth.*shrugs*

It sounds like you're spitting juice....turn it down!! *lol* (that's my pat answer to about half of my problems ususally) *lol*

clean coils, change coils more often? i stay away from the darker juices because of all the gunk that builds up and all the additives of the flavoring. Vaping darker juices in those tanks with the swappable atomizers is just a coil /cotton killer, and usually when the cotton gets fried and gunked so much to a point, it doesnt prevent the juice from being straight sucked up into your mouth anymore.

A smoking friend came in during this experiment and thought I had lost my mind. I, have 3 tanks in rotation and my oldest coil is pretty close to 3 weeks old and the juices I vape are clear. I, have cleaned the drip tips with alcohol and Q-tips and found no build up. I, have inhaled through a Kleenex and exhaled through another using all 3 tanks with no residuals. I, sent my friend outside with a Kleenex and a Marlboro. She, just left with Ego twist, pt2 mini, a bottle of juice and is coming back later for more extensive training.
