I'm not sure I'd call an inappropriate cutting agent an "impurity". An impurity is generally something that's in a product unintentionally. What it seems we have here is something that was added on purpose, as a "thickener" to give the appearance of higher purity/potency.

This is true. I can edit OP, but at 4am can't think of better wording

Suggestions?

Inappropriate additives do, things like vit E as thickener. Be they in nicotine vape, CBD, or THC eliquid.

Discuss...
thanks

i don't vape THC BTW. I just don't much care for misinformation

[enjoyed my teens to the fullest, of course, long time ago]

So buy legal, buy legit and live.
I went to college in the 1970s. Legal/legit was not a option at that time, but somehow there were no deaths from cannabis then.

Even now, it's still illegal in many states as well as on the federal level, so it may not be possible for everyone to follow your good advise.

In the 1970's people were smoking flower. Now people are buying processed goods made or derived from said flower. If you buy "edible" or liquid products you need to know what is in them. Even buying flower today could potentially be dangerous with everything being laced with fentanyl these days. I am not sure if any flowers have been laced yet, but give it time, I am sure it will be.

As far as places where it is illegal, you need to understand that buying black market IS a risk and that will never change. You won't know if it was cut with something, laced with something, or even soaked in embalming fluid (I know this has happened).

Just looked at what the vitamin E acetate was replacing. MCE, which is apparently palm oil. That doesn’t have any business in a vape either.

I’ve been using carts for 2yrs without issue, I also get them from someone I’ve known for close to 20yrs. Knowing your guy is important...I think that’s often overlooked.
...and impossible if you’re a teenager, which is where the main problem seems to be.

I’m sure the party favor scene has changed since I was in high school but even back then you knew who had good favors and who’s we’re not so good.

Hi Doffy,
There are apparently no cannabinoid receptors in the brain stem which controls breathing, swallowing, heart rate, blood pressure, consciousness etc so it is sort of impossible for THC to kill you by itself.

I have only been studying this for a couple of years since the endocannabinoid system was discovered as when I studied anatomy and physiology this system wasn't known to exist.

Still learning:)

It was once said that the only side effect from cannabis was the high...

An interesting statement, we know a bit more now but I still think this can be effectively true for those of good health (mental/physical) moderate use and medical users.

The problem though, with THC, is if it is used frequently the users tolerance increases. So the "dose" has to increase to get the same effect as before. I used to use (abuse) weed so much that i couldn't keep up with these increases. I just wasn't getting stoned. At that time i started thinking about how if a tobacco smoker didn't smoke for a few days and then lit up a cigarette they get dizzy, kind of high. I really do think that constant use of Cannabis isn't so different. You just don't get high if you smoke it the same way you smoke cigarettes. Such as 20 or 30 a day. Kind of makes THC seem quite pointless.

Then that would be your problem for not maintaining your consumption. I do not use, don’t particularly fancy it. But do enjoy consuming many other products. Alcohol, chocolate, fried chicken, coffee! I manage my consumption so that they do not become a physical or psychological dependency thus requiring more to satisfy my needs. The consumption of alcohol or coffee can be abused, but that does not make them useless for those who use in moderation.

    Uhhhh
You don't remember 'hash oil' or 'honey oil' ??
There was plenty of it going around.
It's the same stuff that's available today.
1970's hash pipes were quite the thing.....

I'm comparing Cannabis smoking to tobacco smoking. Smoking Cannabis habitually !. People smoke 20, 30, 40 or more tobacco cigarettes a day without a single thought, HABITUALLY !. If Cannabis is smoked in the same way the smoker doesn't get high. My comparison doesn't take into account moderation.

If Cannabis cost the same as Tobacco then people would smoke it in the same way they do tobacco. Getting high on Cannabis is a side effect which reflects just how expensive it actually is.

It all comes down to the cost for some.

But there again if you're the kind of person who smokes/smoked one or two cigarettes a day then it's a completely different story.

PS: It would be a problem if people "want" to smoke Cannabis habitually, such as all day everyday. It's not the user, it's the THC that does that.

If tobacco cost as much as Cannabis does then users would be getting high smoking tobacco "infrequently".
